My dealer just informed me that my new (slightly charred) '05 RX8 is finally on its way from the port.

Before the dealer offers me some rip-off pricing on tinting and clear bras, can anyone recommend a good (better yet great) installer of same in the Houston area?

He is the best there is (at both tinting and Clearbra). He is reasonably priced, fair, and the only man to touch my cars in the last 20 years.

My friend Gary at GMS auto tinting has been doing it for 20+ years. He does all of the dealership tint work for the new cars at BMW North, BMW Woodlands, and Mini in the Woodlands. He's also got alot of experience with the clearbra. He's done a couple of forum member's cars and several of mine and my friend's. He stays very busy and is very good. Give him a call. He's also on the north side about a mile off of 1960 on Kuykendahl.

I would not go here if I was you. A week after I bought my 8 I went here to get my windows tinted. These guys burnt one of my mirrors with a torch while tinting it and claimed it was like when it came in. I had to get the dealer to order me a new side mirror.

for tint i would recommend pro auto tint he actually drives out to you and does it at your place when you have time very convenient extremely reasonable and does great work and did i mention hes mobile!!!!
