2 days till the meet.... and this is what happens..

So I'm driving to work this morning, when an F350 w/cattle guard and landscaping trailer decides to exit the freeway from the middle lane. Too bad I was in the right lane beside him..... His cattle guard caught my door and spun me around and sent me sliding in circles down the freeway....

NOOOOOO damn dude that f&*kin sucks *****....

I just cried a little, then threw up in my mouth a little...

@@##!! Big Trucks

sounds like you are OK....

The wife and I are sad, we were looking forward to hanging out with you again...

Looks like both doors, rear quarter, and damaged wheel...

similar to what happened to me a few years back but some old fart backed down the side of mine.... was a good reason to get rid of the racing stripes though..

he was just trying to practice executing a PIT manuver.... sounds like it worked.... still needs practice cause its supposed to hit in ur rear quarter only.... and u should totally be a dick with his insurance and make them pay for an alignment because of the loads put on ur car while spinning as well as 4 new wheels and tires cause i can PROMISE U that they are bent now and ur tires will definatly have a coulple flat spots.....

This is what makes the 8 such a great car, it comes with a pretty cool extended family!

I got the estimate on the repairs this morning. Looking at $7k in visible damage with supplemental damage expected. Left the bodyshop this morning with them waiting to hear back from Mazda on where the factory roof welds are located so they could remove that section of the roof. They said it would take a minimum of 15 days to repair.

The back rim can't be repaired so I'm a little concerned they are going to try and give me the money for 1 rim and tell me your SOL on the remaining 3 since they weren't damaged... 3 rims don't do me much good.. lol..... That is if they can't find a matching rim somewhere..

Ouch, make sure you demand OEM parts. They tried to put used junkyard parts on my Mazdaspeed Protege when I wrecked it.

It's the Mazdaspeed springs and shocks. Joe and I both bought them and installed them for the state meet. I love mine!

lookin good progress wise sorry to see this happen ... id demand payment for a new set of rims since yours are aftermarket ... insurance tried to rip me off by doing that when i was hit in my m3 a few years ago and i kept at it and they agreed to pay me for all 4 as long as they got the remaining 3 off my car i had no problem with that
