[Houston] Monthly Club Meeting - February 1st 2005
February Club Meeting, Tuesday 02/01/05
Join us for a night of good food, great cars and information on what's happening this spring!
This meeting should have a great turnout and it will be an "easy" drive for all you "northern" folks, so no traffic excuses!
We'll be meeting at Gabby's BBQ, 3101 N. Shepard (713) 864-5049. As usual we will begin gathering in the parking lot around 6:30pm. We'll move inside to eat at 7:00pm and the meeting should start around 8pm, lasting approximately 30 minutes.
Link to driving directions
We will need to let them know approxametly how many will be coming, so please RSVP no later than 10pm on Monday, January 31st!
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to email, message or call me directly.
See you there!
~Keith
(PS - I will be offline for about a week, feel free to call me to get in touch with me. Thanks)

It's pretty much a gathering of many RX-7's of all generations and RX-8's in a parking lot. People just mingle and get to know each other. We talk rotary or anything else on our minds. This meet we are going to eat but at others we've gone go-kart racing or on scenic drives through the country. Sometimes there are raffles. It's just a fun way to hang out and meet other rotary owners around you. Through these people you can get just about any question answered you've ever had about your car. Come on out Tuesday night. Hope to see you there.

Well everyone it is official. The weather for tomorrow night is going to suck.
I propose a couple of options...
I will listen to all suggestions posted and make a decision around 9 AM tomorrow morning. Email will be sent to all www.houstonrx7club.com members as well.
Thanks everyone!
See you soon. ~keith

- We have the meeting as planned.
- Postpone until next Tuesday.
- Or have a meeting Saturday afternoon and goto the autoshow (optional) afterwards.

a. We usually hang out and chat inside anyways. Most people drive their cars in the rain. This may affect a few people and deter them from coming out though. Personally I don't care.
b. That is an option. Next Tuesday works for but I'd still go tomorrow if it still happens.
c. I'm going to the autoshow on Thursday night since I have to work on Saturday so I won't be able to do that.

The results are in... and it was observed that nearly everyone who contacted me was in favor of either... A. having the meeting tonight as planned or C. meeting this weekend for the autoshow (B only got about 3-4 votes, sorry guys)
So in order to serve you better the club will offer two soluitions!!!
- Tonight the meeting will go on as planned meeting at around 6:30 PM at Gabby's.
- For anyone who is not interested in getting out in the weather the club will meet Saturday the 5th at Joe's Crab Shack on the South Loop at 2:00 PM. After some Crabs (or whatever seafood you like to eat) we will head across the freeway to the Autoshow to check out some of the new product. Autoshow costs 10 bucks (cash only) so stop at an ATM on the way over.

well, we had 8 of us. It was too bad the weather sucked as there were 3? 2G convertibles at the meet. I'll try to swing by before the auto show as I have a friend who already invited me to the autoshow.
