[DFW / NTX Rotary] - Offical Meet - Thursday, Sept. 2nd
I'm calling to order an official meeting of the DFW/NTX Rotary Club.
Who: All DFW RX8 Owners/Enthusiasts/Friends
What: Meeting to discuss nothing of importance and socialize
When: Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010 - 8:00 PM
Where: Flips Patio Grill (map)
Why: Because we haven't had a meet in 2 weeks, and I'm in town bitches!!
How: Drive your happy *** there in an 8...or whatever else you got!
Parking: I suggest everyone park behind El Fenix. Typically, there's not much parking out in front of Flips, but there's plenty behind El Fenix. Plus, it's just a quick little walk to Flips. Check out the map if you need more info.
Update: Some of us will be showing up early. We have a number of members who work close to Flips who will be heading there after work. If anyone wants to show up early, please do.
Post up if you're gonna be there!!
1) KWarner04
2) Bullitt
3) JoeHawk
4) 987HYS
5) Creto
6) WTBRotary!
7) Riley Craven (If his head doesn't explode from Apple training)
8) LordET (I think that's what "goomba goomba" means)
9) thejew89
10) agcutie03 (late as usual)

Assuming the "what?!" is in regards to me going to apple training.
I still hate apple.
That being said the new job at tcu is likely to be 70% apple related until we can get it working like we want in an enterprise way (aka patch management, and policies for computers etc)
However, the fact that that TCU is willing to send me to training, and not bullshit video training from people like Global Knowledge et al, but to APPLE people speaks volumes. I'm willing to learn. Chances are at the end of the day I am still going to hate apple, but at the very least I will be more educated and will be able to craft better arguements against them
I wasn't suggesting we change the meet time. Just that if I will be in the area, going home and all the way back to flips would be silly. If anyone else has the same problem it works out to those people's advantage to just meet there when they get off work.

well i got work but I'll just be late as usual? And I'll only come since nothing of importance will be discussed and I can bring my happy *** in (more than likely) my nasty work clothes because I ALWAYS forget a change of clothes...and in my Power Ranger. (Sigh)
FML. But yay for a meet so I can remember it used to be pretty awesome.

So I may be later than previously expected.
I found out that, as a class, we all have to start the certification test at the same time. This is problematic for several reasons. First eveyone besides myself are in their 50's which means lab excersises that take me 15 min can take them 30-45min, one can't even complete them in that time. Two, as a class, we can choose a certain amount of time to "study" before the test, and knowing those crazy old people, they will elect at least an extra 30 minutes to study (and probably still fail). Class usually ends somewhere between 4:00 and 5:00 and with the test probably taking me 1.5 hours I'm not sure I will actually be early like I expected.
TLDR version: See you guys when I get there.
