Hello to All,
I'm new to the RX8 ownership world and I have to say I love the car, both looks and the feel of driving it. In my younger years I had an RX7, I loved that car tool. I bought my *8 used about 3 months ago. After I bought it, the electronic power steering would go in and out. I pulled the codes out of the computer and it had a Torque sensor code in it. I called Mazda and they said that the sensor was around 600 dollars, but he said he had never sold one and the problem was not in the sensor, but in the wiring. So I tried to check the wiring, but when I would get under it, the steering would start working again. So, I just put up with it going in and out. Now, I put rear springs on the back of the RX8, because the rear was sagging way too much. That was two weeks ago and my power steering has not quit once. I know that sounds crazy, but it's true. Has anyone got an idea as to why this fixed the steering problem?
