GROUP BUY IS NOW CLOSED

The next steps are the following:

1. Please submit your order deposit of $75 to paypal id: sororneja@hartford.edu
- Please take into account paypal fees if applicable
- Please attach a memo to the transaction with your forum name
- Please make sure that your paypal address is updated as I will only ship to that address (this is to protect the buyer and reduce complications)

2. Once all deposits are received, the orders will be placed at the fab shop

3. At this time you will be sent an email to the address linked to your paypal account with a waiver of liability. Please read the form over, print, sign, and notarize (only if in the USA)
- Notaries can be found at your local bank or UPS
- Once signed, please send form to address on my paypal account
- Please note that if you do not sign or notarize the form, your order will not be fulfilled, and deposit will not be funded

4. Once I have received your form, and once the boards arrive, I will request the rest of the payment before shipping out.

You have money!

I wasn't sure how much the fees were for using CC-backed Paypal, so I sent you a couple dollars more. If it doesn't cover the fee, let me know.

Also, paimon, do you use any online rating system? I use heatware, and you'll probably get a good start if most of these transactions go smoothly.

Got your payment, i will just deduct the extra you paid from your final payment (I see you paid 80, doesn't look like any fee was assessed). Thanks!

I have actually not used an online rating system, but I will take a look. Thanks for the tip!

I will update the first post when this site stops timing out every 2 freaking seconds

In the other thread I tossed up ideas like a "Track" addon that would have a gps module and a sdcard slot, a wifi addon, and a bluetooth addon ;). These will be projects down the line though.

Sorry for the extra work. I remember PayPal used to tack on fees on credit card payments.

Just out of curiosity, do you not want full payments for those of us that would just like to get it out the way? :sweatdrop

benben01 05-07-2012 10:00 AM

you have money as well :)

neofreak 05-07-2012 01:25 PM

You serious about getting it notarized? I don't have time for that.

fizzer 05-07-2012 02:32 PM

Would it be even technically possible to do a similar thing on a series 1? I'd absolutely love this and it would really open up your market.

Yessir, it takes no more than 2 minutes, just walk into a UPS and/or city hall on your way to the post office! Plus you have like 2 weeks before the orders come in!

No UPS/City Hall on airplanes/airports/boondocks/overseas.

paimon.soror 05-07-2012 05:10 PM

Ohhhh, well if you are outside the USA you dont need to worry about notorizing, sorry I should have made that clear.

godesshunter 05-07-2012 05:58 PM

My dollars are now your dollars.

Are-Ex-Eight 05-07-2012 06:38 PM

Money sent.

amdhunter 05-07-2012 08:11 PM

paimon, would you be OK with digital signing in the PDF document? Adobe Reader X can allow this, and it take a lot of stress off of us worried about going to a notary public.

If that doesn't work, how about sending the document early and we can snail mail a signature out to you.

After having my windshield replaced, I get paranoid about any extra sounds that come up every so often, maybe enough that I'm starting to imagine it.

That is a good point and would work as well. Sorry for the confusion guys with the notary. I was just following the advice of coworkers, and it does look like a digital signature will work as well. AmdHunter, could you possibly document how one would go about digitally signing the file? I have attached the waiver to this reply as a *.doc file, I can also provide it in alternative formats if needed.

paimon.soror 05-08-2012 09:47 AM

Just a few deposits left !

amdhunter 05-08-2012 01:00 PM

For those of you interested in digitally signing an Adobe PDF.

Download and install Adobe Reader X --> http://get.adobe.com/reader/
(For your safety, uncheck any extra software, such as McAfee Security Scan Plus, or Google Chrome.)

Open paimon's PDF.

Step 1: Go to File --> Get Documents Signed.

Step 2: Click Place Signature.

Step 3: Choose Draw my signature from pulldown menu.
http://amdhunter.net/drawsig.png

Step 4: Use your mouse to draw your signature and hit accept.
http://amdhunter.net/mousesig.png

Step 5: Paste the signature into the PDF and size appropriately.

Step 6: Confirm/Save the PDF and send it back to paimon.
