The correct ordered item is shipping tomorrow (10.16) and should arrive in a couple of days. I have included a return label and a stamp for the mis-shipped puddles. If you could just send those back when you get the Rear Rotary Lamp I'd appreciate it.

Sorry for the screw up.

RotrDoc-

If you'd like a Rear Rotary Lamp that works WITHOUT the OEM rear accent, those are available in this group buy as well foir the same price. It is slightly larger than the one for use with the OEM accent as it fills the entire rotor-shaped recess much like the OEM rear for lamp. Still dresses up that area and looks just the same when lit ... just no $70 aluminum accent needed. If you intend to get the rear accent, then I'd suggest you go ahead and get the rear lamp now while it can save you a few bucks.

Up to you...just wanted you to know you have options.

Thanks for that. I think I don't want a chrome accent in the black bumper area, but the light is intriguing. As I understand it:

1. This is two different fog lamp kits, one is compatible with the accent ring, the other is not. and

2. Most everybody is wiring this into the taillight or brakelight circuit in the trunk, so it does not function as a fog light.

3. I haven't seen any OEM rear fog light accessory (just checked MazdaUSA and Rosenthal). Am I missing something?

Yep

Yep again
The instructions suggest hooking it up to the license plate wires - that's how I did mine too. Piece of cake.

Mazdaparts.com and Canzoomer sell the Japanese fog light kit - MazdaUSA does not carry it.

Thanks, Tamas, for the info. I found the OEM JDM light on MazdaParts. Are you associated with derWankel, or just answering for him? I see that you are in Fresno, he's in Atlanta

der Wankel--I think I'll buy yours.

Please add the rear fog light (without accent ring) to my order. Another $65, right? I don't have access to PayPal until I get home this evening.

Money has been sent via PayPal

Sorry, I actually read the first posting on this thread and forgot the instructions. I have sent the $75 payment (including shipping) for the set of Puddle lamps. Looks like a great DIY!

I'm not associated with him, just a happy customer here who already has both of these items. And luckily, I'm not in Fresno either

I'm not exactly the brightest when it comes to these things, sadly I'm a DIY'er which always screws me (anyone remember when I had to buy an entire door panel for my driver side anyway, what wires do I tap into to make this a third brake light?

You mean fourth brake light, right? That with the rotary lamp.

Or if you hook up the puddle lights to the brake light wires, you'll end up with five brake lights, wohoo

Now that's a real hedonistic approach... don't you think that 6 would be overkill?
