I'm guessing by the shape of the prototype that he made, it looks like it goes in where there's a pop-out hole underneath your mirrors.

 

That is correct, look on the underside of your side view mirrors.

You have white VLED's in there in this case? Also, your gonna make me go look in the garage now, I could've sworn on the stock mirrors the location would me closer in towards the car.

I'm just guessing here, but they come on and off with the courtesy lights meaning when you open the door. Just like the ones you now have on the inside of the doors.

 

Yes, they tap into the courtesy lights so it's only when those lights go on/off.

Update: I'm just finishing up the last revisions of the piece and a couple 8 members gave me some advice on which plastic resin to use. I'm getting sample resin from the companies and will be trying them out.

 

when you hit the unlock button on your key fob, the puddle lights will come on.

Dealing with the fires in the foothill area cause they're near my house right now. Still waiting on my samples to come in from the plastic resin companies. I expect within 2 weeks I should be able to ship a batch out.
