You will get a link to his How-To page on his website. He doesn't want people to share the link, so I will just tell you that the instructions are excellent and you will have no trouble at all following them.

The biggest problem is getting into the positions needed to reach stuff under the dash, but I am old and managed to do it.

Just order them. They look great.

well heck, I have LEDs in every location already (white on the interior), and I do indeed like the look of blue footwell lights you've made here, so if you have another blue kit, hit me up on PM. I would definately hook up to running lights instead of dome. I think it will be neat to have the blueish cast with all the orangy-red stereo lights, as it reflects the design elements of the night-time gauge cluster.

Cheers.

I totally agree this is why I am using both red and blue. Red front...Blue back...

I just received mine. The packaging looks... sketchy, but the product looks great. I look forward to installing it tonight when its not blazing hot. My only problem is that I am lacking instructions...

i just received mine and installed today... another great product from a great guy who knows what the hell he's doing a lot moreso than most people. I didn't have a problem at all with packaging or installation and am very satisfied with it.

If your going to complain about a product like this you need to step back for maybe 3 seconds and say to yourself " man im glad i just saved over 100 dollars from someone who attempts to provide an awesome service instead of going through the dealership"... if you wanted whatever something without a bubblewrapped package im sure he could have packed it in a steel briefcase and added an extra 20 dollars for you... i mean.. cmon

THANKS RODGER YOU ROCK

installed, bitches. took quite a while longer than wilson did, but i'm satisfied. i just had some problems with the splicers not making good contact on the wires, but we're all good now. and my back and neck are now killing me, but the LED's look sick. if you're on the fence about it, get em. thanks a lot rasp.

First let me say.. best 50 bucks you'll spend for a "cool factor"
These LEDS are high quality and Rasp's work is top notch.

Instuctions are first rate and easy to follow.
My only problem was the second splice.. I have 3 wires that all look exactly like the one in the instructions... i had them all side by side and spent about 10 mintues trying to decide which one to use. I'm pretty sure if I had just stepped back and thought a moment I would of saved myself some trouble.

3 splices later (thankfully i have a ton of small gauge splices in my tool box) they work perfectly. The color is perfect and in no way overpowering.. just right.

FYI The second splice went into a seperate wire loom then the first.

Thanks for all the good comments. I had no idea that mazda reused the same color wire that many times. Especially in the same general location. I'll see if I can find some way to clarify which wire.

Are you referring to the blue or green wire?

Make sure you push the wire all the way in before crimping.

Also, if you're a tall person... installing these can be a little hard on the neck. -no doubt

It was the green wire. If there was a difference between the three it was too subtle for me to notice. The blue was in the large loom and the correct green was found in the smaller loom right behind it.

The first wire I tapped into was constant on, the second seemed to be a lower voltage since the LEDS were very dim. Third time was a charm. When I got in this morning to head to work (5:30am) it was very nice to have the solid glow of blue showing off the footwell... now I need to scrub and clean those floor mats!

I'm 6'2" and I woke up today wondering why it felt like I had been hit in the side with a basball, till I remembered all that leaning on the door sill

I'll double check tonight, but I'm pretty sure both wires are in the same loom. There could be more than one green wire that works also.

could it be possible that if there is another green wire that works than maybe you could have a lower and higher voltage for brighter and dimmer lights? i could use some more brightness maybe so that would be interesting to know....

Depends what you consider bright. I have the red hooked up to my running lights and it doesn't bother me at all. I can't speak for blue because I haven't tried.
