I participated in Kane's previous tuning session hosted by Kma....all I can say is, AMAZING. I learned a ton. Kane basically walked through the entire tuning spectrum. I now have everything down pretty good except timing(my fault, not his. I just can't seem to grasp it) He answered all of my stupid questions and we still managed to move through the class at a decent pace. Anyone who is wanting to learn anything about tuning should definitely take part in the class. It's well worth it

I'm in! I loved the first one, and it will be fun to do again and re-learn all the stuff I forgot.

I'll probably drive down, I'm up in BC, and Seattle is great. I'll probably get AreAxeAte to join up/come down as well.

Tell me where to send my money.

Don't worry bwilk, We'll get all that info on here soon. I'm glad to see a positive response to this so far. I think it's going to be a great two days. Might have to have a BBQ for lunch while were at it.

I need a tuning 102 :P
I would also like to know his main fueling approach, via fuel tables, maf manipulation, or ve manipulation.

A lot of that will be covered, more so on day 2, with the hands on stuff because each car is so freakin different.

Both. It will be streamed and I'll try to set up som kind of remote computing / share type dealio. Something like blackboard/adobe connect, but I'll have to do some research.

Looking like 200 for the webinar (Day one only / mostly) and 300 for the those who want to continue and do their specific car on day two. I can do remote as well for the tuning, but I'm going to limit it to 4 cars since that becomes too time consuming.

In person, I think a class of no more than 12. In total, I cannot possibly do more than 14-16 cars at a time, lol. I get confused (that is a lot of logs flying around).

when I say fueling approach I meant some folks spend most of there time on one table
math cal aside, desired fuel aside

a person could
adjust maf scale til they got what they wanted or match the fuel table
adjust VE til they got what they wanted or match the fuel table
or adjust the fuel table to get what they wanted ***** nilly like

I understand there is a bit of finace as you work with them all, but one table holds more weight then another table from person/tuner to person/tuner

what is yours?

mine is VE

All of the above! LOL

Scale for accuracy on the MAF and Injector Tables, then fine tune with the VE%, and finally adjust fuel tables for power.

IC, I guess I am similar accept I just do calibration with the maf, and fuel, then tune with VE, then adjust fuel tables, but I am FI so though similar, as you know the initial setup is much different

I fancy this approach

How is driveability? I guess since I was tought by Kane I understand his way a little better. I feel as if manipulating VE tables before fuel tables is somewhat chasing your tail. If the math is done right with the MAF and Injector scale the fuel tables should put you within a 3% margin of error. That just leaves fine tuning with the VE table for the anomalies such as the weird lean spot seen around 6200rpm.

Drivability is great!!
I am doing the turbo so My stuff is different. All the out of boost areas are similar to na tuning. but when tuning the top end above 100% load I keep the Maf at realistic values and redo the VE to match the target fuel once I get that then I change the fuel table for power. Having 380gs with .99ve is better then 550gs and .88ve imho

300 for both days, or 200 for day 1 then 300 for day 2? Either way I'm coming down. Anybody got a couch for a fellow rotary enthusiast to crash on?

Put me down for both days. Hopefully to be one of the cars too, but if there's more to be learned from one of you turbo guys I am easy on this one. In person obviously...

I will be in Day 1 of the Webinar, I will continue one on one tuning with Kane on his schedule over the summer.

Another quick question tho, maybe Kane can answer. I pre-ordered a 2015 STI, and will have it by then how much of this session will focus on other cars as said in the title. Now I know the 2015 is not supported currently but it will be (Using the same EJ motor and same ECU with an update OE map) and it will be nice to get a beginners inside look into it.

Both Days (300); we can do all cars that are local on Day two but only 4 remote ones.

Day one only (200).

Does that help clear it up?

Probably worry about that in a week or two. First things first I always say - I'm not in a hurry to get paid. I'm more interested on how many we'll have.
