Any more takers on the factory seconds concole knee pads? 11 left @ $20.00 shipped (48 states only).

 

Got mine in the mail and installed it today. The defects are exceptionally minor, they look like they were probably tiny air bubbles. Visible standing with the pad in my hand in the kitchen, but unnoticable once it's installed.
Didn't take long at all to readjust my leg to resting on the pad instead of holding it up. I dig it!

Right now we are looking into modyfying the original mold. In the meantime, I found that our MX-5 console pad will work on the RX-8 door. What do you think? It's only 1/2 inch thick so it will only make the door soft. It will not add much height. Let me know...

Personally, I'd want the pad to follow the lines that are already there. So, I'd think a 1/2" pad that looked like this would be ideal. However, maybe I'm the only one that thinks this? Still, anything that looks a little more OEM would be better in my mind.
