It was great. My only complaint had nothing to do with the Mazda corral. I was bummed about the parade laps being so late (6:45 PM). Last year they were in the middle of the day. I can understand if they just didn't have time to fit it in, but having it at the end of the day seems a bit pointless in a way, and it was too late for my plans with my 9-year old son with me. The parade laps were possibly my favorite part of the trip last year.
In the future, hopefully we can have them earlier. |

Then you have to figure about 15-20% drivetrain loss. There are also variations in the calibration of dynos, even of the same type (DynoJet in this case). |

I'm hoping next year to make it to both Mid-Ohio and Indianapolis. I think Indianapolis will be a cool experience. I'm also excited about the new cars joining the series next year. Ferrari and Audi will be joining the GT class, right?
Anyone know how the discontinuation of the RX-8 by Mazda is going to affect the Mazda teams in the Rolex series? |
While it is good exposure for GrandAm, I am not happy about their combinding GA races with one of the NASCAR series. It makes getting around the paddock more difficult. NASCAR isn't use to having spectators around.

Agreed, it is crazy as hell with NASCAR, we're going but don't know if we'll host a corral or not, depends on the track! |
