POTENTIAL BAD GUY: Tripletsi, NO ITEMS RECEIVED. UNABLE TO CONTACT.

Admins/Mods, please look into this. I paid Tripletsi $110 via PayPal for two sets of spark plugs. We were in communication until 8/20 when he said he has "shipped my items" and "will provide tracking" but that was the last response.

I tried PMing but Tripletsi set his options so that no one will be able to communicate with him. I emailed him via the email address he provided me to send the paypal payment concerning the issue. I will give him until Sunday to contact me before moving on to PayPal to get my money back from this potential scammer.

His for sale thread:

Email sent 2:02AM EST to Tripletsi's email provided during PM's- "Tripletsi@hotmail.com":

Hi "Brad",

I have been trying to contact you via PM on RX8Club concerning my
promised FOUR NEW NGK RE7C-L and FOUR NEW NGK RE9B-T spark plugs
shipped for a total of $110. Your last response was made 08-20-2012,
08:48 PM EST via PM on RX8CLUB stating:

"Copy that Rob, two brand new sets (four RE7C-L and four RE9B-T) for
$50 each. Shipping should be less than $5 each so I'll combine them
and ship together for $10, if there is change I'll toss it in the box,
if it costs more I'lljust cover it myself. Paypal total $110 and my
account is: Tripletsi@hotmail.com . I'll ship them first thing
tomorrow morning USPS on my way to work, you should have them by the
end of the week. I'll give you a tracking number tomorrow too. Thanks
again, Brad Carberry"

I made a transaction on PayPal to transfer $110 USD to your account
"Tripletsi@hotmail.com" on

"Date:
Aug 21, 2012
Time:
19:28:19 PDT"

With that said. I have PM'd you stating that I sent my payment and
asked for confirmation that you have gotten my payment for the spark
plugs. You have not responded to me with ANYTHING. No confirmation, no
promised TRACKING NUMBER, etc. No package was received either. Since
August 23rd, I have been trying to contact you via PM on RX8Club but
you have chosen the option of not receiving PM's. Rx8club:

"Tripletsi has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be
allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your
message to him/her."

I have posted in your for sale thread concerning the issue:

https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-parts-s...7/#post4331226

I have also made a feedback thread concerning the issue:

https://www.rx8club.com/good-guy-bad...2/#post4335676

I suggest responding on the status of the situation and the where
abouts of my EIGHT NEW SPARK PLUGS. You have until the morning of
Sunday to respond before I contact PayPal to deal with this potential
scam.

Regards,
Robert Wong

Exactly. Tell him this is easy, produce the tracking number showing it was delivered to YOU!

I has an experience similar to this a while back and it turned out the post office showed "delivered", but had the package in the back at the PO because of its size. No problem.

But if he won't immediately produce a tracking number he's just another f~cking scumbag scammer stalling for time. Don't give it to him. File a dispute with PayPal before he cleans out his account and removes any bank accounts and they can't recover your money. Good luck. Scammers should die in a fire.

Email received this morning from seller Tripletsi. He did include a tracking number though.

Hi "Robert"

This is the FIRST email I've recieved from you about your EIGHT SPARK PLUGS. Your payment was late at night and did not come through until August 22. USPS confirms your EIGHT SPARK PLUGS arrived yesterday at 9:49 am on August 24. I'd suggest getting off the computer and check your mailbox! Tracking # 0312 1430 0001 0075 2614

Regards,
"Brad"

I am currently away from NYC where it was shipped to at the moment though I do have family home at all times. My mailbox was checked the day "delivery" on 8/24 and nothing. Mailbox was checked today 8/25 and nothing. No mail man ringing the bell for delivery or anything of that sort either.

Unfortunately USPS doesn't provide much help at the moment. Not even the size/weight of the package to make an assumption that it does include eight spark plugs. The package size shouldn't be a problem for delivery anyways. I have no choice but to wait until Wednesday when I go back to NYC and check the post office myself to confirm or have my family check for me on Monday or Tuesday.

Though he did respond to the email. I find it very unusual that he wouldn't respond after the payment PM with the promised tracking number. Also he chose the option NOT to receive PM's soon after.

If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to input.

Went to the post office and turns out they have it. Wasn't processed until the 25th apparently.

With that said, this wouldn't have been such a mess if the seller hadn't blocked PM's and not provide the promised tracking number after shipment.

trust me, there are a lot of people in this world who have zero common sense

I'll never forget the guy who shipped me an Appearance Package rear wing in factory original WWP paint wrapped only in kraft paper with some tape to seal the edges and he couldn't believe that it arrived beat to absolute hell

My other order of spark plugs and wires from a member here that provided his "Mazda3 forum" feedback took three weeks to arrive. It arrived on Thursday. Again, no tracking number and he couldn't get it from "his dad" which apparently shipped it for him more than two weeks later than promised.

When it finally arrived, I was surprised to see which a tiny box. No idea how his father crammed all the items into the box, but he sure used every square inch of it. Hopefully none of the spark plugs aren't respaced and the wires aren't crimped.

At least the seller kept in contact somewhat often. Would respond a few days late at times.

You should always gap the plugs regardless. I have yet to see even one properly gapped from NGK
