Negative: Umnitza

Has anyone had a problem getting their intake from Umnitza? I ordered an intake last Wednesday over the phone and was told it would be at my residence by that Friday. No intake on Friday so I waited until Monday afternoon. I called Umnitza on Monday and got some guy on the line who told me I should get it Tuesday. Well today is Tuesday and no intake. Called Umnitza and spoke with a different guy who answered. He told me he mailed an intake today but did not know if it was mine. I explained to him the reason I called was the three different delivery dates I was given and still no intake. I also told him the tracking number they provided does not produce any results...which leads me to believe they took my money and never mailed the intake. When I placed the order I was told the intakes were in stock and since I called first thing they would stick it in the mail that day. I simply explained I wanted a refund if it was not shipped. He said he would have to take my info and have some guy named Matt call me back. I'm not going to hold my breath but I will give it one more day before reporting it to Paypal and my bank.

I guess I should have taken heed to all the negative posts about Umnitza.

Give it a couple more days, maybe it's ups ground or something. But I reserve my comments about umnitza, lets just say they don't keep their word and have great delaying tactics. Won't be surprised if it happens here. But they are a small shop, that's a bit unorganized and cluttered, it might take a while.

Got a call from Matt about an hour ago.....wow! He said it was not shipped on Wednesday but did go out on Saturday. He said I might get it today. Ummm...not happening cause the mail & ups have already come for the day. Matt told me if I don't get it by Friday then call him back and they would ship out another. I'm thinking it was mailed yesterday after I called. I really don't have a problem with Umnitza I just don't like getting the run around. If they had told me they made a mistake from the start then I would have been fine. We will see what happens tomorrow.

nobody ever admits to not shipping stuff(the "it's not MY fault" strategy).....there's always some problem with the deliverer

seems to be many shops are more concerned with making money, than doing business. Making money is EASY. Hell, anyone can take money from people...Doing Business takes hard work - it's a two way street; a partnership between supplier and reciever.

Finally got my intake today. First they mislead me about the ship date then didn't send any instructions. I don't see how they stay in business.....luck I guess. Aside from all the hassle the intake sounds good. One thing I did notice is when you drive with the engine cover on the intake really heats up. I removed the cover and drove about 15 miles....intake is much cooler to the touch.
