Negative-new Mothers-lodi
I will give you the short version - I blew my engine the end of May and had the car towed to New Mothers, which I did not know was not the same as the Original Mothers. Sammy used to own Mothers and sold to Jose (douch bag) Floencio. The discussion I had with Jose was that I wanted 3mm seals installed. He had told me up front the price would be between $4k and $4.5, but $4,500 would be the worst case and should not happen. Before he would work on the car, he had to have my card number to begin - He said he would charge about $3,000 in good faith I gave him my card number. A few days later, I check my balance on the card and Jose had charged $4,700. I was wtf and called him only to get he will call you later or act like he was not there. I decided to go down and confront him at his shop. He acted like he did not know how that much was charged. I put a hold on my card until resolved. Things continued to get worse - he originally told me the car would be ready in 1 week - 2 weeks later the engine finally gets opened and I am told there is much damage in the engine and it will cost me more than original estimate. I called Dave at KDR who I trust and he told me not to spend the money but to get a remanufactured engine.
The shop told me that they could get me an engine with 14k miles on it for $3.900. After talking to Dave again, he told me to check on reman engines and I found one for $2,800. After further discussion with the shop (New Mothers) I was told 2 weeks later they did not want to work on mm car.
I had to have it towed 120 miles to KD Rotary in PA. (Dave's shop) for repair where it is now. He has told me the cost and what would happen each step of the way.
The real **** is that because I was waiting for a price on what was actually done on my car originally the hold was reversed and the $4,700 was credited back to Jose. Since I have tried to get him to credit my account back - The most that should have been charged was $800, but he would not answer my calls.
Is this the kind of treatment you guys want to deal with - HELL NO
I am not done with him yet - I will be contacting the better bbusiness bureau with all the back up I need and some other surprises for him ( a slimy dick who knowingly screws his customers)

Acosta had installed my turbo and some other gauges. I trust Harold and Marcus to do the right thing and they have knowledge of rotary engines. Sammy of "old" Mothers is cool and knows his ****. Jose, the new owner does not have a clue about rotary engines, only how to rip off customers. Jah

The problem is cash !
The original engine was to mangled to repair within reason. The broken seals destroyed many of the major components. Since the problem with my engine, I have spoken to many of the rotary gurus througout the country. They all agree that if you are going in to engine, 3mm seals should strengthen the engine. Some also recommend a mild port and some machining to the rotors to help with the internal gas flow. With all the money I have and will be spending, I did not want to crack open the reman engine to mess with the seals. I will have Dave lower my boost pressure to about 7 lbs which is safer. He has also done fix #2 to the turbo.
