Thumbs down Misrepresentation of a item

Look at what a member jedigak1 sold me and see his explination of the item.
See how he never mentions the bottom of the headlight was cracked and broken.

Was there supposed to be something attached to this?

Could that be because you can see the damage in the photo and damage to the bumper where the headlight was??

Headlight (passenger side) was involved in the accident. It's the shell. Does not come with bulbs. It has a scrap across the lens. I wondered if it could be polished out. One plastic bracket was broke off. - $50 + shipping
this is the description so yes and no. it doesn't sound like it was broken and since it was given a description about a scrape and not being broken i could see the confusion. but i also would have inquired for more pictures and a better description (all with my 20/20 hindsight goggles).

Though you may be upset with this deal it would be best to resolve this with the seller. I hope this wasn't your first means of resolution because this post might not go over so good.

You'd think the keyword "accident" might hint to him that it's banged up a bit...

Exclamation

Here is the picture of the scratched headlight with a broken bracket that holds it in place. You be the judge.

I think you did get what you payed for. It might be your fault for not spotting out the problem of the headlights with words like "accident" and such. If you looked closer you could have asked him for more pictures and explanations of why it is like that. Then again, he could have just told everyone the whole spiel.
Who knowS,

ouch after lookin' at the pics that's not a minor scratch... yes he had an accident.... described condition as minor... delivered something unusable...

caveat emptor (buyer beware).... He boned you!

However..... what goes around comes around...

He said one bracket was broke off. Besides, why would you buy a headlight with a big scratch in it?

You got took. I don't blame you for posting.
Technicalities should not be the basis of resolution.

LOL...that isnt a scratch...more like a abrasion. Hate to say that thing isnt work 5 bucks. Who would want something liek that on their car?

Dont know why everyone is hating on this but he did get put through the ringer. Description didnt say or mention a huge hole...he said a small/tiny crack. The guy was obviously trying to hide this defect. Guess its what happens when you dont ask for better pictures.

Definately a little shady, but hey, Just feel lucky it did'nt happen on a bigger item. Always get complete pictures of any item you buy online unless it is from a reputable place.

My first purchase online many years ago was an $800.00 engine on ebay and had I not been in law enforcement at the time, I might have got screwed. I ended up tracking the kids father down (kid was using his dads paypal account) and eventually got all my money back.
