Only 2 left alive. They start to flash then go out. And I speak for a few of us fellow RX8 owners that have bought from them, and when you call they say it's an electrical problem with your car... PFFFT!

 

Really I just bought some led's from them, It's only been a month and everything is solid so far. How long did yours last?

 

I got a pair replaced, those are the only ones alive. The rest are either blinking or they don't light up at all. And their story is "you have an electrical problem" yeah, from my 35k mile 2006 RX8....right...

 

Really? wow that sucks. Well I got my clear corners with leds off some guy on ebay for dirt cheep. Second time buying from him and other Vegas members and we have never had any issues with our lights.

I always get my stuff like the next day. But they are in SoCal I'm in Vegas so I can spit and hit them lol

Still like working with them. Hell I'm going to buy more stuff from them this weekend

 

This really doesn't sound like us. The only way we'd suggest that the problem was electrical is if the bulbs kept going out after multiple replacements. I'm honestly not sure if we've heard of anyone with this specific issue. We do offer a 60 day warranty on all our bulbs, and it's been very rare to have any come back to be replaced. All the bulbs we sell are also in our own 8, and we've had good luck with them.

RX8 Strakes are THE best parts company I've dealt with. Every product they have is of the highest quality, in 3 cases even beating mazda's quality (front & rear rotary accents, fender strakes) and prices are unbelievable. hope that's not always true. i just had a bitch of time installing the parking leds i bought from them. at first they were not staying in there tight, so i decided to read the instructions. and what do you know, they told me to put some tape on there. i put the electrical tape on, and things seem to be going smooth now. they definitely look better than stock.

hopefully they'll last.

shipping was fast. no problems to report. this is the third time i've bought from them. all transactions went without incident.

 

rx8 strakes is the best experience i've had buying online. I agree about the super fast shipping too. I live in Chicago and I ordered on Sat. got my order on Monday afternoon.

 

what color fog light bulbs did you get? i saw they just added yellow bulbs to their site. i want to get those but wonder if i should get hoen instead...

 

Man I was about to bitch about the fog lights right, but my passanger fog light went out. Cuz it fell out and was hitting everything lol

I have placed many orders through RX8Strakes and have had nothing but perfect service. As a matter of fact I am waiting on my most recent order which should come in tomorrow. I did have to replace one LED, but it was covered under the 60 day warranty and was replaced for free (minus my minimal fee for sending in the defective bulb). I think my car could be a poster child for their website.

I am not going to start a bad guy thread, because I will still do business with RX8Strakes, but my most recent order did not turn out how I had hoped it would. I ordered a set of Mazda piano black RX-8 branded B pillar appliques and I am very happy with the product I received. I did find out the day after I received them I could have saved $15.00 had I done a bit more research and ordered them from Finishline Performance. Oh well that's my fault for not looking around enough pefore placing the order.

I also ordered a set of plastic satin chrome fender strakes from them. The online pictures are a bit hard to tell the exact look of the finish, but I figured they would be similar to a stainless steel or polished aluminum look as they did have "chrome" in the description. I was wrong. The strakes arrived and they were a flat silver color. There was nothing chrome about them at all. I ordered satin chrome because I did not want full chrome, but I still wanted some shine. I contacted RX8Strakes and requested an exchange for the chrome version which was the same price. I was told I had to ship the strakes back at my own expense for a return and refund on the price of the strakes. I could then place a new order for whatever I wanted. When I brought up the fact that I would be paying shipping for something three times (1st to get it, 2nd to send it back and 3rd to place a new order) for a product that I would not have ordered in the first place if it had been described correctly on their site, I was given a link to the chrome strakes at their ebay store which was posted with free shipping. They said their system is not set up to handle exchanges, only returns. I did receive my refund in a timely manner though.

Moral of the story: I am still happy with everything else I have ordered from RX8Strakes, (which is why I am just editing my good guy post instead of creating a bad guy post), but if anyone wants strakes may I suggest contacting Andy (Rotary13B1).
