Good Guy: Rotary Resurrection

FORUM ID: RotaryResurrection
PARTS Brought: 6 Port Rebuild
Amount: $1600 + Parts
Description of transaction: I found a cheap engine block on craigslist and picked it up on a Thursday. The next day I emailed Rotary Resurrection (RR) about a rebuild. After a few emails back and forth, I delivered the short block to RR on the next Tuesday (about a three hour drive). Since I didn't know the history of the block, RR was nice enough to open up the motor while I was there and determine what parts were usable. RR determined that both rotor housings were DOA. RR gave me options for new or used rotor housings and I chose new. Gave RR my deposit and he said I was behind two other builds but should get started on it in a week or two. Told him I was in no hurry as I still had a running motor in my car.

The very next Wednesday, RR emailed me to tell me that my motor was ready and sent a link to over 50 pictures detailing the build process. I went and picked it of the next day and RR spent a good bit of time answered every question that I could think of. Along with my motor, RR gave me a CD full of pictures and a packet of install and startup instructions and tips.

In summary, Rotary Resurrection was great to deal with, gave options on what parts to reuse or replace, and finished the build well before the time estimated. Rotary Resurrection is a great asset to the Rotary community.
