Don't buy RotaryFX side marker set!

Don't buy the RotaryFX clear side-marker set! They are very cheaply made and unless YOU seal them they will take on moisture. In mine if you look close you can even see a run from the glue they used to slap the clear part to the black backing. My gf bought me them last Christmas and now since the weather is warm and I have had my car out and regularly washing it they took on moisture and there is no way to take them apart to clean the water spotting out without breaking them. They charge $60+ for these but the quality is **** poor.

that clear run by the corner is the factory glue that dripped down on the inside that can't be removed. It's also along the bottom but you can barely see it.

This doesn't surprise me
It seems like just about everything they offer is made cheap and sold over priced.

Does anyone know where you can get side markers made by someone else?

RotaryFX's stuff just looks cheap and they charge 5 times more then the quality of the items. That's my opinion. I recently bought my clear corners off ebay from a guy who sels JDM ones. They were very good quality and made in Japan. I think they ran me $55. Just do a search on ebay.

If you would have read the thread about them you probably wouldnt have suggested them as a gift someone could get you. In all fairness the quality control is the problem, some seem to be fine and yours looks to be the worse case yet, mine have been on my car for two years now and I have no such problem,

i tried the rx-fx white/clear corners and they cracked along the same seam allowing moisture into the assembly, unfortunate because i liked how they looked.

Doesn't surprise me. The only thing I bought from them that worked out well were the satin black fender vents, I love them.

Yea RFX definitely cranks out some low grade parts. I just hope someone who was interested in buying these reads this first and knows exactly what they're getting.

Its certainly helped me... Ordinarily I avoid Ebay, but in this case, I'll make an exception. Thanks for bringing this up.

Well when they sold them to you I'm sure before you paid them they didn't say "WAIT! Before you give us money, be it known that these are poorly sealed and will need to be re-sealed upon delivery is that okay?" Even if they had said that I might have still bought them but re-sealed them BEFORE installing them. But now that there are water spots all over inside it's a little late for me to seal them.

Are these any better?
http://www.rotaryfx.com/product_p/lig1044.htm

I'm looking for something of better quality, and JDM on eBay is about $90-ish.

Thanks. They looked fairly close but it didn't want to risk it.

I Agree

Digging up this old thread because my 2nd set purchased from them has began to take on water.
I was about to order set #3 when I contacted them and they refused to discount the 3rd set.
They have pissed off a Marine... Not a good move.

RotaryFX Lighting Products are questionable in quality...

I haven't decided whether to take the chance, buy the 3rd set and seal them immediately, or just stay pissed off, rant and rave about it and buy the JDM set (reflective type) from a more reputable seller.

They had the nerve to tell me that it was probably the bulb gaskets.
I would accept that if I was an idiot, but I can blow in the bulb hole and air comes out of the seam...
