I think we need at least 1000 more members to repeat the same tired arguments over and over again before closing this inane thread

No. That just costs everyone money - especially since I could have proven to the CC that it was delivered.
The proper course of action would have been to contact me.

As far as I know USPS delivery confirmation is worthless for international shipments. The delivery is confirmed once it arrives in Germany. After which, German postal service is responsible for delivering the package.

The tracking is good all the way to the recipient's doorstep.

I do now!

I agree.
There is no such thing as bad publicity.

I did as you can see on page 2 of this thread.

Not really. You know who you are and where you live, you know who I am and where I live and you know when you approximately shipped my AP. Now the employee can give you the tracking number again. You don't need any number or something, just your name and your address + my name and my address + the approximately shipping date.

Again, this is was USPS told me!

First of all, no - it doesn't work like that. I wish it did. Then I could get you to stop with this nonsense.

Second, how could you know this, even if it were possible? You just walked into the USPS branch in Germany?

In any event, this is over. I'm done commenting on it.
Have fun.

Have fun.

I've talked to DHL which is the german partner of USPS and a friend of mine talked directly to USPS in the states because his spoken english is a lot better.

Delivered to who? In germany we don't get packages from other countries directly. Packages have to go through the customs and we have to collect them there.

You're just writing I should have contacted you. I did that the past year but you've never react in any kind. Now you say you're over and I should have fun - NICE!

unless you are on post. you lost all your remaining chance of credibility..

if you are on post. well you have bigger issues other than this post.. you know how the people that own the usps deal with with military fraud?

just wondering..

i think you should post off and write your congressperson. you last hope..

or if you are legit start fighting with your local delivery.

good luck my friend.

No. Packages over a calculated price go to the customs. Then you get a letter with a confirmation. You have to collect them from the customs yourself! Except UPS, they pay the bills for you and you get an invoice with the package!
So the way is USPS --> Germany --> DHL --> Customs OR USPS --> Airport --> DHL --> Germany (Customs)

and dhl has what to do with this?

are you saying usps ships stuff to germany, then dhl get its. then you are notified that dhl got it.

then you have to come and get it?

i really am done with this. i am baffled by stupid.

might i suggest reading the owners manual.. really. i have friends that i put stuff in the usps mail. and it just shows up at the house.. takes a while. but it happens..

and i have friends in new zeland that will vouch for the same thing with them..

I'm not in NZ. In Germany that's the way it goes - that's a fact! We have to pay customs (3-4%) and bills (19%)!

This is why I want a number from MM I can work with. He shipped but I didn't get it, so it has to be somewhere. If the customs didn't send me the confirmation I didn't get the AP like I say the whole time.
THX but to write english isn't the same as speaking with a guy!

I just wrote you the way it goes here in Germany. And you know I never wrecked my car because this was a lie but I won't argue that anymore.
I don't have any time to be teased by you. That doesn't help me in any kind!
I've just gave you and everyone else the facts...

bse50 09-03-2009 03:44 AM

Kazuma,
Since this is being buried in nonsense why don't you simply ask usps to give you the tracking number? It is true that Jeff could investigate on that matter but you could easily contact them and do the same.
http://faq.usps.com/eCustomer/iq/usp...%20Service$ALL
This could help you a bit.

I'm not saying it is your or jeff's fault but since you were able to call DHL etc i'm sure you will be able to ask USPS to help you!

THX man! DHL & USPS told me only the sender could get the tracking number without any number or something like that.

@MM

rollerbldes 09-03-2009 04:16 AM

It would be 1 year.. but MM stated he used Delivery Confirmation.. not Signature Confirmation.. so it's only 6 months.

neXib 09-03-2009 04:36 AM

I'm pretty sure DHL declare their own customs fees and bill you for those on their own, so it doesn't go to some other customs depot, at least they do in Norway, and as it's a German company I doubt they'd make it stupider there.

Strange - Poster, do you have first hand knowledge??? If you do then post it but if not then I would be careful how you address others.

^ Seems pretty credible for someone with 15 posts and no evidence. Let's believe him.

Popcorn is getting stale but the show keeps going. Do I get free refills with that?

StormyWankel 09-03-2009 10:32 AM

I love how nobody is acknowledging the fact that he scammed MM previously on a turbo upgrade...oh well...this wont stop me from getting my AP from MM when I get some walking around money

Now, hold on - he didn't totally scam me on the turbo.
He ordered one, we went back and forth, over and over again about options. He sent paperwork that said he had initiated a bank transfer, so I started building his kit and ordered his parts.
The bank transfer never came and he kept saying he would fix it.
After a few months, I gave up and sold his kit to someone else.
