" He said he paid over $90K for the car. I heard these Z06's were going for more than list, but DAMN! $90K? He also said the car has had nothing but problems and was always in the shop."

Ouch....I hope the insurance company or the dealer that f'ed up the exhaust job gives him a new Z06 and free service for life.

90k is still a bargain for the car you get with the Z06... The slow *** NSX is 90k (worst car for the value ratio ever).

I agree that the ZO6 is a deal at $90K for what you get. How is your car coming along? Do you visit mustangforums.com or modularfords.com?

I remember in my old neiborhood back in 94', a doctor had 3rd gen RX-7 , a yellow one, well one day after he came home and parked it, poor car almost burned his house down to the ground. Man was he pissed!

OH ****! that's pretty painful to look at.

HAHAHAHA, poor goodyear guys probably lost a TON of business that day! Imagine this: "hmm, I think I'll swing by goodyear to look at tires or get an oil change"
- You pull up to good year
"Holy ****!! They blew up a freakin' Vette!!" You proceed to sqeal the tires and get your car to safety.

Car is coming good, just picked up a gallon of reducer for the base coat so i can finish painting the spoiler. Put some 295/35/18's KDW2's on the back and I can suprising hold the road "pretty well" under acceleration. Went out hunting for some races a few nights ago but no one would bite. Couldn't even get a race with "corvette guy" I am on over at corral.net I will put some more pics up once I get it cleaned up and in some better light.

I love the fact that the guy saw he was on fire and had to chase him down to see what's happening! Not to help but to see what's happening!

I want to know why he kept drivign after it started burning. Not like Goodyear has some magical potion to put out hte flames. Driving it aroudn while on fire probably didnt help his case.

He said he only realized he was on fire while passing the BMW. The Bmw owner said he pulled into the goodyear dealership one block away from there. You can't do much more then that.

Smokin! Well glad the guy didn't get hurt. Sounds like the dealer's insurance will be paying out. Painful and sad to see such the Z06 getting toasted.

Sounded like he got a unreliable one, whether he'll get a new one who knows.
