Doesn't matter, if you don't care for something, you don't care for something.

While I wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, I wouldn't keep it either. Lots of other cars I'd prefer for the money.

I like it better than the convertible. However, I hate the fender gap that sweeps up and the seam through the BMW emblem.

I think this looks much better (couldn't get rid of the seam):

The 3/4 view makes the car look really weird. It's as if the front of the car doesn't belong to the rest of it. The whole thing doesn't flow together.

i don't think its ugly, but im not sure i'd toss the gorgeous word around for it either. my first impression was what the?, but i do like it in its uniqueness and that i give it credit for. but im not sure its gorgeous. its like a weird punky european runway model with like a weird face but somehow is a bit hot.

as far as Ike's mention of the TVR-i see a bit in the rear section, but think the TVRs are truly 'gorgeous' cars.-not ready to embrace this one as such quite yet, but thats just me.

I'd have to see it in person, but according to the pictures, the top doesn't look right for the Z4.

I dont mind the designs, the worst thing about the new BMWs is the fact that they are pushing everything to be SMG

much better looking than the convertable, glad to see the hatch back 2 seater roaster is again offered by BMW, my fav z3 was the ///M edition hatch back.

I think it looks like the old shelby coupe.

Theres always a spot in my heart for a classic 2 seater long-bonnet car....like the old toyota 2000gt

You either love it or hate it...

we'll see about tracks. It's going to need more engine than the roadster has to dream of keeping up with the Cayman.

I loved the M coupe and this def better looking than the convt z4. However, I still have a strong dislike for the Z4. It's a totally different car from the Z3 and not a worthy replacement in my opinion.

Cayman > Z4 coupe.

By a loooooooooong margin. At the end of the day, that Z4 is merely a BMW. And those are a dime a dozen pretty much everywhere.

M6 is the only new BMW worth having, because it has "The Motor." But the company does have an unhealthy appetite for that SMG nonsense these days..

ugh, okay. Merely a BMW, that's actually pretty humorous. Corvette is merely a chevy, Viper merely a dodge, and an rx8 merely a mazda. I see those mazda 3's everywhere now.

The front end is nasty, but everything else is stunningly beautiful.

Peace

yuck

It will probably drive well--the shoe was actually one of the best handling BMWs.

That makes sense if you are judging the car based on it's price, and not ignoring that element. I guess if the RX8 was this expensive it wouldn't be all that good looking would it. Of course looks are only skin deep. Looking at it in a pic and saying IT LOOKS UGLY, means very little without really getting to know the car, and how it drives and feels. I will respect opinions by those who have throughly driven one and gotten to know car first. I've done it, then I drive the car, and I go OMG. It's like the decent looking babe vs the hotty. You date the hotty, she starts talking and suddently she looks OK. The decent looking gal has a golden personality, and before long she looks gorgeous. You see one in person, drive it around for a day, it is possible you can swing. I have driven several BMWS, and I have to say, they are indeed the ultimate driving machine. When people call this car ugly, that means it's so HOT many people can't stand the heat,.

The current Z4 isn't a mule on the tracks right now either, so I'm sure a coupe version would definitely have some handling improvements. I'm sure the engine will be hooked up also. If history repeats itself, a la M coupe (Z3-variant), then expect that the Motorsports division to have it's way with it.
