While I wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, I wouldn't keep it either. Lots of other cars I'd prefer for the money.

I like it better than the convertible. However, I hate the fender gap that sweeps up and the seam through the BMW emblem.
I think this looks much better (couldn't get rid of the seam):

i don't think its ugly, but im not sure i'd toss the gorgeous word around for it either. my first impression was what the?, but i do like it in its uniqueness and that i give it credit for. but im not sure its gorgeous. its like a weird punky european runway model with like a weird face but somehow is a bit hot.
as far as Ike's mention of the TVR-i see a bit in the rear section, but think the TVRs are truly 'gorgeous' cars.-not ready to embrace this one as such quite yet, but thats just me.

much better looking than the convertable, glad to see the hatch back 2 seater roaster is again offered by BMW, my fav z3 was the ///M edition hatch back.
I think it looks like the old shelby coupe.
Theres always a spot in my heart for a classic 2 seater long-bonnet car....like the old toyota 2000gt

I loved the M coupe and this def better looking than the convt z4. However, I still have a strong dislike for the Z4. It's a totally different car from the Z3 and not a worthy replacement in my opinion.

Cayman > Z4 coupe.
By a loooooooooong margin. At the end of the day, that Z4 is merely a BMW. And those are a dime a dozen pretty much everywhere.
M6 is the only new BMW worth having, because it has "The Motor." But the company does have an unhealthy appetite for that SMG nonsense these days..
