I think for about $14000, you can get a 170 hp car that's as small as a Power Wheels, and weighs about as much as a thumb tack. Pay 28-large and you get 250 hp. Is this for real, or are my antihistamines getting the best of me? You be the judge.

I'll tone down my anger if I can go to Houston, meet up with you and take this car and dump it in the Rio Grande. That sound okay? :p

Scion seems to do well and their styling is akin to a polyp on the anus of the automotive world. That's the "in" thing nowdays. Buy something cheap and ugly and then rice it's looks out even worse. It's a wonder the monstrously ugly Pontiac Aztec didn't do better than it did. What is the Brazilian equivalent of ricing out a car? Coffee it out?
If the car doesn't meet your eco-concerns, you can always throw it in the garbage can in the park. It's a freaky car with a weird name and too much power, and Porsche wheels? I'll put my deposit down today, and I'd like it delivered to my toolshed in my backyard.
$28K?? Looks like they spent $12.50 on chassis design. Put 250hp in it, and you'll have a bunch of dead customers. Brand loyalty will be a challenge, if you kill off all the buyers.

edit: the CAD model makes it look like the rear suspension is just a hinged cradle that holds the engine, transmission, driveshafts, and wheels. I can't help but wonder if that's actually the design.

best thing i heard about this was when i was listenig gto some news program today. apparently the parent company of this automaker is a us company and they are filing suit against the Chinese goverment.apparently there were a bunch of production plans etc stolen and now a factory has opened in china to produce the same car. and the factory is owned by the chinese government
You know, what more could I possibly want to feel secure? I completely buy into their philosophy of safety:
"Many innovative solutions with high standards of active and passive safety for passengers, our most important "motto". It is often said that "Brasilian products have the same quality of French or Italian ones, but with Chinese prices, and are this philosophy is our guideline for the project, in that will have that to be creative in rethinking a new kind of "different" automotive industry with innovative ideas...
The bodyshell + integrated chassis form an Monocoque structure, with full occupant protection in rollovers, front, rear and side impacts, and will feature high torsion and flexional stiffness due to the integrated structural construction"

Mmmmmmmm...flexional stiffness.

I don't know, I need them. I mean that thing is ugly and I would be afraid to do any mods with thought of blowing the engine(nos). And I would not survive a crash in that thing they would have to use the jaws of life and if that did not work I would just be buried in it.
