Here's some helpful hints.

1.) Search, you're not the first person to flood an RX-8.

2.) Post in the correct section of the forum from now on.

3.) Realize that some people have real problems

4. Don't capitalize every word, it's really annoying to read.

use the de-flooding procedure in the manual

one trick I've found is that if you RX8 is flooded, you have to sit in the back seat and ********** furiously for about 10 minutes... for some reason the car likes that and will not be flooded (if you use the de-flood procedure in the manual)

I think that's the all-caps filter doing its job. Makes me break up all the words read it all broken, kind of like a first grader might fumble through a book.

Kind. Of. Like. This. If. You. Actually. Heed. The. Punctuation.

I never realized how much of asses forum people can be, and only reason it was in caps is because i was just putting this up and heading out to pepboys to buy some hoses, but thanks for the help guys, I might have a better chance in the Z forums then to deal with guys like yall

Yeesh, take it easy. I flooded on the day I was supposed to drive back to Orlando to start my classes. De-flooding procedure didn't work and so I searched the forum for answers. Didn't get any so I just sucked it up and dealt with my 4 day (or so) delay. I complained a bit, sure, but I didn't start bitching at everyone who made fun of me.

It's the internet. Calm down.

Disconnect the air pump connector under the hood on passenger side of engine compartmant (see manual). Hold your accelerator pedal all the way to the floor and crank for approx. 10 seconds. Release your foot from the accelerator and attempt to start. Note: Battery must be fully charged if this is going to work at all. If this does not do it, call roadside assistance and tow it to the dealer. You are welcome.

You posted in all caps because you were going to Pep Boys? What kind of sense does that make.

You own a car and you didn't read the manual. That's worse than not reading the stickies.

first of all i did read the manual and im aware of the flooding situation since this isnt the 1st time it's happened to me, the reason it's flooded now is because my dad woke me up early as hell to move the car, and ebing hung over as I was I moved it and didnt let it warm up, and I went to Pep boys to get the vacumm hoses while my aunt was here so I could use her car

If you are aware of the issue and you read the manual, what help are you asking for? Do you want us to berate your Dad for flooding the car?

Remind me again what it is about. You asked for help on something you already knew about. Is the car at the dealer now?

well i asked for an alternative to the DIY thas posted basically, and im fed up with it so I called mazda roadside to pick it up, im just assed out because im not under warranty anymore. Only good news is that this isnt the first time it's happened to me so I dont have to worry about getting a new battery.

Ok....well you could get someone to push it put it in first and try and start while rolling....it will probally kill your starter, but you could also just keep cranking it while your being pushed....killed the starter but was replaced with the upgraded one under warranty .........even though your not in warranty....try it
