Gotta go with the good ole Pontiac ***-Crack on this one for the worst looking. Worst built might be the Ford Explorer (how many recalls from faulty wiring, to faulty electronics, to faulty tires).

Tamas, I seem to recall reading a while back that you're Hungarian, correct?
I spent a few months in Hungary one summer, and the family I stayed with had one of those Easter Bloc/Soviet built cars. I was trying to remember what it was, but that gets my vote. A deathtrap on wheels.

Here in Australia, the official worst car ever built was the Leyland P76.... this thing was a lemon.... it sucked monumentally.
Coincidentally, it shares the same distinction with the Rx8 for having won Wheels Car Of The Year...... let's just hope a couple of years down the track, we don't discover that the 8 really turns out to be a lemon.

I can't tell how big of a joy it was then to buy my first REAL car - a 15 months old Volkswagen Golf. I was in heaven

I get a chuckle as I read this thread. Some of those cars were real duds......
I wonder, if I were on the automotive design team that worked on those cars, do I admit it? ever?
hahaha

I have not seen anyone mention this old unforgetable the chevy VEGA ! Now that was one of the all time worst, although mine really wasn't all that bad. Of course it was a gaint step up compared to the PACER I owner right before it. Both mid-late 70's
And come to think of it my wife inherited a cimmaron and it was nothing but trouble too.
At least I have a good car now
