Yep. That would be my guess. That's probably one of those finger lakes in the background (Lake Como, Lake Maggiore, ...).

Lake Como is my guess as well. I saw a segment of it on the travel channel. The corner house on the back left looks like the one in James Bond (last scene).

 

You know, I would not mind one bit, if the next RX-8 had a slight italian throwback design like this above. If that were to happen, I would also just consider throwing caution into the wind and move to Italy.
