i thought we are posting our favorite supercar, not our top 5 favorite super cars. so much for me misreading the title , then ill post my next favorite supercar uner the mclaren F1 Lm.

 

I would almost want to drive this car around w/ no body panels as what's underneath is just as beautiful as the outside.

Some of the cars listed aren't even classified as supercars

 

Yeah, the definition of a "Supercar" is very subjective these days as the technology and performance of cars now easily match or surpass what was once considered a supercar. For me it still comes back to one's I thought were so desirable as I was growing up through the 80's and early 90's.

What is "super" in supercar? Is it super performance, super looks, super expensive or a combination of all? Then of course, you have "exotic" and now "hyperexotic" which can all go hand in hand with the term "supercar". I do believe a supercar should still (in most cases) be a road-legal production (non-post-production tuned) car. But I couldn't really argue that something like the Mazda 787b (for example) was not a "super"car.

 

Well a 787B is not a supercar because it's not a road going car. Top Gear has the speedbump rule, and I kinda agree with that.

 

I do too but I meant a "super" car, not supercar if that makes sense.

 

w/e, its "super" and it is definitely a favorite.

 

if i were in the market for high-end cars id talk with mazda about building me a custom 787b. I mean why not..and why wouldn't they. I'd rather throw a mili towards that then a Bugatti

 

I believe the majority of the car posted here are rather exclusively hyper cars. A super car it's in the $100,000-$400,000 price range IMPO.

 

It does, and I wasn't trying to stop anyone from posting cars with 1mm to the ground or higher prices and 2 produced, it was just my interpretation of supercar (and not super car)
