(the 280 was one of the best purchase i have
made next to the rx8// bought it for $2000 with
only 40,000 miles from an old man kept it in
garage....like new I felt in love with this car
everything power digital got handling. put like
45,000 in 2yrs no problems....til' fvcking lady came
and a crash head on with me in the mall parking
lot. total the car... luckly nothing happen to
me....ahaa i hate her....sorry got of topic.
1999-2001 A/T 1997 haundy accent economic, but not a racer or
ricer transmission could not handle my driving
2001-2003 M/T 2002 F-150 single cap v6///man this truck could
burn rubber like crazy a couple of modz. But to
many little problems and bad luck got broken in
twice... getting married need a crew cap
2003 A/T nissan frontier crew cab nice little truck sporty
I regrets that I did get a 4x4.

2002-- 1982 Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon, 4 door. Painted 2002 Chevy Trailblazer blue, shaved door locks and handles on all four doors. Custom stereo, 10" enclosed sub, custom xenon headlamps, blue turn signals, and 20" 144 spoke rims.
Stolen in 2002 and 2003, recieved 2k from insurance! :P

2003-- 1979 Caprice Landou, 2 door, two tone sky blue and royal blue. Blue neons installed around interior, custom stereo, 10" sub.
Replaced Cam shaft for 2k, backed into by a large SUV while in a club, passenger side door lock pried, trunk pried, sub stolen, stereo stolen. Parked outside on the street since late march! Doors won't open!

2004/late march-- 2004 Mazda RX8, titanium grey, 6 speed MT, no front license plate, custom driver and passenger side red neon footwell lights and accessory outlets, independant fog lamps, custom suede shift boot, red brake calipers!
Family misses me due to lack of being home! "Sorry Mom!"

Hey guys,

I am considering purchashing an 8, but asking people's opinion on a RX8 forum is like asking if Jessica Simpson is a retard or not.
I see such wonderful responses from everyone, it must be too good to be true ! :D

To better guage one's experience, what did you drive before your 8? I would think those who had a civic or no car at all would be extremely thrilled with their 8. While those who have had a Rx7 may not be as thrilled.

Thanks guys! I WILL be test driving a 8 this week. We'll see how it goes :D

The 8 is kind of a blend of both of these cars with improvements.

 

2003 Honda Accord Coupe V6 AT

 

I had a Firebird and it's a big step up in quality of product and quality of drive over the F-body (Camaro, Firebird, Trans-Am). Less low-end torque of course.

My ex had a Boxster (the regular one, not the Boxster S) and I'd take the RX-8 for practicality over the Boxster. The cars drive very similar - not bad for a 4 seater at half the price!
