The WAITING FOR JDM Thread
As we all know, if you want authentic parts from the motherland... you usually have to pay a lot more, and wait a lot longer. Thats just how it goes.
So post up how long youve waited for what, and what your waiting for now. Ill go first.

BY FAR the longest wait was for the Mint Blue Wing - 5 Months

Top Secret Wangan Decal - 2 months and counting (FOR A FRICKIN STICKER!!!)
suprising enough my Amemiya hood arrived at HNL Airport in only 6 days after ordering.

IDK if this counts... Tanabe Ultra Medalion exhaust, ordered last year the exhaust is is Yokota AB but my old troop is still in the sandbox, waiting for him to get back so he can take a hop and deliver the exhaust to Travis AFB

It's been 3 months and counting. Her name is 51874. My JDM princess should be going through customs before the end of the month. I'm so JDM I sleep on the right side of the pillow...

I ordered my RX-8 from the plant in early May '05. Took delivery September 18th. 
On a side note: I was thinking about ordering a body kit for SevenStock but there's NO WAY it'll get here in time.

Took 4 months for my Volk GTS. Saw pics at 2006 Tokyo Auto Salon, and ordered them before US vendors even knew about them. It only took 4 days for my second set.

i found that threw certain people its actually really easy to get stuff sent to Honolulu. Way easier than the mainland and sometimes faster.
Im imagining for Kauai its probably another trip from HNL airport to you?
Speaking of Kauai - i like see come super ferry time.

Its mostly because they got lost during shipping somewhere on the mainland. But yeah, everything does go HNL first.
Whenever that super ferry does start, you should try and come down on a weekend when there's a drag race. I want to see what a turbo RX-8 does on the track.

i noticed that most complaints are coming from jondemand's customers, (not dissing them or anything). is this also true with japanparts.com? i just ordered the jdm lip spoiler and they claimed that it should be at my front door around 7.7.7. i'm also thinking about getting the rmagic lip spoiler but now i'm having second thoughts about it. to those that got parts from japanparts.com, should i get my hopes and really expect my lip spoiler by july 7th as they stated? and how was it when you bought body kits?
