An RX-8 would be playing around with the Boxster, though most likely outpacing it. That was one hell of a showing for the Z, but I think the S2K would have had it had the GT-R not been in the way, and if he hadn't messed up that one turn badly...
What I don't get is how can the GT-R basically walk the Z?
It's not all that compared to the Z - is it?
Type: Inline-6, Twin-turbo
Displacement cu in (cc): 156 (2568)
Power bhp (kW) at RPM: 276(206) / 6800
Torque lb-ft (Nm) at RPM: 216(293) / 4400
Bakes F/R: ABS, vented disc/vented disc
Tires F-R: 245/40 WR18
Weight lb (kg): 3672 (1666)
Acceleration 0-62 mph s: 5.2
Top Speed mph (km/h): 155 (250)

Because the GT-R is underrated and awd. Notice they mention the track is wet. AWD would rule in those conditions. It is also accepted it makes a lot more than 300hp in stock form.

Yeah, GT-R is in a different class from the rest of the car. Even the M3 is no match, I would suspect the M3 would also struggle in the dry condition against the GT-R.
The M3 has power but also has weight and only rear wheel drive with the combination of weight it will loose traction, which will slow down the car in any condition.

I think yer a bit confused, this video does not have an STi in it. I think you're thinking of the V35 Skyline (AKA G35), RX-8, Miata, ITR, S2K best motoring that also included a JDM WRX, not an STi.

JDM WRX is as good as the STi in Australia... the bloody detuned to 198 kW basically make it on bar with the JDM WRX but just have a 5-gear gear box. It is a better car then you think!

It's only slightly more boost than the USDM car, and the STi has much better suspension and handling.

that is why the Impreza range across the Globe is so complicated.... so standard spec and different spec EVERYWHERE....
Wonder if how they do Quality Control in those cars --- NONE
