Vehicle Make/Model List/Database
I'm working on a project for work, and found I need a list of makes and models. Broken down by year is fine, though not needed.
Anyone have any idea where such as list is available? My Google-Fu is probably not up to snuff, but couldn't find any actual list. Just sites to look up a specific vehicle.

I'm not sure if you are looking for something digitized for copy/paste purposes but an actual hard copy of a KBB or NADA book lists everything back to a certain year. Or go to a autoparts store and jack one of their oil/air filter part number books.

How far back do you need to go? http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/FEG2000.htm is a possible source. Or go to a Auto Parts site that lists cars by the year. A site like this http://www.nctd.com/review-search.cfm might help?

I don't think my meaning came across clear.
These sites have functionality which allows you to select make, then model and pull up each car in some fashion, usually drop down boxes. I need to get my hands on the type of list that they are using to fuel those lookup boxes, for a database I am working on.
I am not interested in anything other than Make/Model, and perhaps year. I suppose I can piece it together from other lists if needed, but it is more time than I really have. Was hoping there is a published list out there somewhere, even one that I can just highlight, copy and paste from.

Check out www.thevehiclelist.com - they have a great selection of car makes and model databases to buy and download. They come in excel/csv format, and also come with dynamic dropdowns (jquery) - a great deal for web applications... plug and play.
I do work there - and so I may be biased - but knowing the other lists out there, you will find the product and customer service at thevehiclelist.com to be very good.
