V8 Supercars!?..Mercedes, Nissan, Ford and GM, No Mazda

Just been announce on local TV, that Mercedes-Benz will join Nissan in the Aussie V8 Supercars.
There was a rumour that Mazda was going to be the forth maker, BUT, they don't make a V8.
I don't know yet what model Mercedes will be used, however, it will be Stone Brothers Racing (currently Ford) who will be the MB Team.
