Yesterday I was out driving around, going on a food run, when I spotted a gorgeous blonde in the lane next to me. Sadly, she was driving a Hummer H2, and I couldn't help remarking how thoroughly this killed my attraction to her. So I gotta ask, ladies and gentleman, which cars personally are turn-offs for you to see members of the opposite sex driving?

that's funny that you bring this up. my friend and i were just talking about how an attractive guy driving a beater car totally kills it. a turn on is a sporty, luxury, or SUV vehicular unit

for girls - as most arent car people - i dont judge them that harshly. but if they were to drive something shitty like a neon (that lol is for you john) i'd still kind of be like ehhh...

but for guys, even guys that dont care about cars, i judge pretty harshly. come on, you're a guy, you're supposed to make at least half way decent decisions concerning anything with an engine. if you have to drive something cheap, get a subaru or an old bmw. get something with at least a little class and respect.

i dont hate on civics or any one car in particular, especially the one's you see at the drag track. (they can pull some serious times.) i do hate on overly aggressive body kits and cars that just look ugly. please, i dont want to see your gigantic rainbow spoiler (x2 lol john) or your badly tinted head lights. (x3, lol) i've seen quite a few really tastefully modded civics that have looked really nice. on the other hand, i've never seen a nice looking srt-4. (ok, that was just blatant. lol.)

mind you this is hugely a stereotype but I've seen enough examples that I automatically make opinions based on it... I HATE girls with mustangs. Usually the older model, but the new ones can be just as bad. Mind you, I'm referring to the more common college or high school aged girls. They almost always prove themselves to be shitty drivers.

example from last week: was going down the road at night, I see the mustang on the left, waiting to turn from an apartment complex. I'm coming up so she shouldn't go. No one's behind me so I figure I'll go on by and she'll turn behind me. Wrong. She pulls out to the left lane and I assume she's waiting for me to pass. Wrong again. She sits there for a good 5 seconds then pulls into my lane. I have to slam on my brakes and the horn. When I hit the horn, she just stops completely. Even when it's clear she should go, she still waits a second before going. My g/f was with me and knows I wasn't speeding or doing anything ridiculous. I cant understand what was going through her mind. She stopped at the exit, I assume looked both ways. Waited. Started to go as I approached, waited again, then went at the worst possible time (well, worst would have been if I couldn't stop, so almost the worst) and then froze when I honked at her (for good reason).

edit: just wanted to add that I see this **** all the time, which is why I assume that the driver is shitty if it's a girl in a mustang. If I'm meeting her I'd give her a chance and not hold it against her, but if I'm just seeing them on the road, I'll assume and hold it against them lol.

that's what i meant about sports or luxury cars. it shows they have class, respect, stereotypical sign of masculinity, and aren't cheap skates. although i've met quite a few guys that'll spend loads on their cars and nothing on their girls. those guys suck too

I have come to find that the mustang is THE female car of today. My GF's sister drives a old 5.0 (the last model they made) and my EX who is a complete psycho bitch who says she would race for money and won a lamborghini but had to turn it down in favor of 200k cash She keeps trying to make her seem like the best driver in the world and is a awesome racer and all this other fake ****. Guess what car she drove? A 1999 Black autotragic Mustang.

On the way home tonight though I did see this skinny hot hot hot blond in a white new beetle w/ some tasteful rims, kept looking at me and smiling while on the phone. God I love the 8.

Heh, "guys with money and loose wallets" sums that up. Nice cars are seldom signs of respect or class. How they drive said cars says more about their character than how much they spent on it.

I guess the turn-offs for me are minivans or SUV's... minivans because they are usually soccer-mom-transports full of screaming kids who draw the driver's attention away from the road, and SUV's for pretty much the same reason, come to think of it. :-\

Modern-day hippies in their hybrids irk me too. Nothing is sexy about a Prius. I think a freaking Neon is sexier than one of those, and that ain't saying much. And then they have to get on everyone's nerves by driving it 15 MPH below the speed limit. Hell, I honestly don't if they consider themselves "hypermiling" by doing that, or if the piece of **** just can't go any faster.

^ I'm with you generally to a point but I would have to make an exception and agree with Rootski when it comes to a Hummer H2 (an H3 would probably be exceptable) or any overly large/long/tall truck for that matter (saw this alot when I lived in and drove around the rural parts of East/Central Texas). In the end though, if she's hot I would most likely put up with anything vehicle.

I really don't understand what it is with girls and trucks. It's just.....AAAHHHH! You can tell they never use it for 'trucking' things around, because it's flawless looking in the bed and the outside, so it's just a giant gas sucking piece of junk that has wheels. >_>

you are right though. one shouldnt judge others for things they know little about.

but i dunno, i have a friend who thinks the maxima is the be-all-end-all of cars. i just cant understand her reasoning. its not great looking, its fwd. its cheap... i understand she knows nothing about cars. and she really really doesnt. but i still lost a little respect for her. i asked her, "what about a bmw?" she said, "ehhh no."

I don't care what they drive, but if they're an awful driver who actually thinks it's no big deal (no desire to improve) then I have no interest.

Actually, I take that back. Any economy car with a bolt-on fart can and Pep-Boys wing also makes me lose interest. Basically, I just can't imagine them being anything but obnoxious. SUVs are also a pretty quick way to get me to lose interest, but it's mostly due to the "bad driving" turnoff. I haven't seen a good driver behind the wheel of an SUV in...well, ever. (The bigger they are, the worse they drive!)

I have to agree. If it's obvious that your daddy bought that car for you then it doesn't matter how hot you are. That probably means you are going to be a pain in the *** and expect things handed to you.

Are their flowers, beads, dice, a cd, and a disco ball hanging from the mirror?

Is the car covered with stupid stickers that are put on crooked?

What **** is thrown into the back window area? Cute little girl with 4 McDonalds bags thrown back there....

Personally, the way you keep your car is a reflection of how you want to be perceived by others.

Ditto for me. Actually, I get really turned off by women driving expensive vehicles, this includes super cars. I don't even want to talk about what goes through my head regarding how she got the car, or the fact she still drives it.

I like seeing a woman driving a BMW, or a little sporty fun car. Actually my fav vehicle is the train.... my preference: university women going to school on the train. "Obviously got a good head on her shoulders" is what I naturally think.

Guys? I hate guys who have to advertise they have a 4 cylinder engine. That's like a short guy walking around, holding a measuring stick that extends above their height... in case you didn't notice.

I don't like anyone who drives a "Cavalier". Don't ask. It's a rant.
