Supercar question...
Ok, you get to pick 3 supercars. One for the track, one for the street, and one to smash to pieces with a blunt object...... What would you pick?
Mine...
Track- Zonda F
Street- Either a Jaguar XJ220 (no exact reason why, I have just always been obsessed with them) or an Aston Martin Vantage
To smash- One of the new Ferraris that don't have the option of a true manual transmission (Having a paddle shift option is fine, but dammit let people have the option of buying a true manual too. Making a car like the 458, then not allowing people to buy it with a manual transmission just does not make any sense to me. Especially for a company that has been making awesome sports cars for decades.)

Track: 20B FD or Ariel Atom (maybe with a 20B haha)
Street: 20B FD
Hammer: Viper
Edit: If race cars are fair game for the track version I'd take a 787B

Track:
Because 30% or less of the cost of a supercar will get you a better performing car for the track in nearly every supercar example. Getting supercar level performance is not all that difficult. Getting that level of performance AND ROAD LEGAL is. So much of the cost of supercars is tied up in the road legal aspects, the safety (albeit, some only have token safety), the overall design, appearance, sound, flair, etc... Supercars by their nature are 'outrageous'. It's the intent of the market segment. That isn't what is useful on the track.
And the track has an inherent risk. I'd rather smash up a $20,000 car with the performance of a supercar than smash up a $250,000 supercar.
Street:
Frankly, I wouldn't want to deal with the hassle of lots of attention in a car that being caught using the performance it has would put me in jail. If I have that performance, I'd prefer to be as subtle as possible. Not to mention the hassle of actually owning one. The insurance, the repairs (they have ridiculously short warranties for a reason), etc...
And there are very few supercars that are actually 'livable'.
I'd rather have a small stable of $10,000 to $40,000 cars to mess with and pick between.

you're missing half the fun RIWWP.
you ever riden in a super car? A lambo, a Ferrari, etc on the street? It's a BLAST to drive down PCH or any street just merely for the looks you get and the attention.
Not all attention is bad.
PLUS, it takes the monotony out of every day driving knowing you have 500+ horses under the hood at your disposal.
If you own a supercar and worry about the cost of repairs or insurance: you should have never bought the damn thing.

That's why I will never buy it.
I think you might be getting my intent wrong though. There are certainly a few supercars I would be interested in driving once in my life. But I seriously doubt twice. Ferrari 360, Audi R8, Aston Martin DB9 are the top 3.
I was just staying out of it because I knew I wasn't contributing until someone mentioned that the Crossfire was a supercar, and couldn't hold back any more. Then I got asked why I wasn't supplying any cars, and I answered.
