Ike is right. Stop posting. You're making yourself look really stupid. I mean just look at this! You're offended because you think I'm making fun of a statement you made.

Open your eyes and you'd realize how goddamn stupid you're being.

1) I wasn't responding to you. Notice it's a response to someone else (ApexEater) who was responding to someone (VikingDJ). And notice that VikingDj and ApexEater are both not spelled L-I-M-E-P-R-O.
2) I posted THREE DAYS before you made your comment about GTOs and embarrasing people. THREE DAYS! How the hell am I responding to a statement you're making THREE DAYS later?! Either you're stupid, you think I'm a psychic, or you think I have a time machine.

I love the GTO and want to own one in the near future, so naturally, some jackass has to come on here and make GTO owners/fans look like baffoons.

I think these kinds of hypothetical scenarios are kind of pointless. Unless you see it perform in person, there is no point in talking about it.

I like how he thinks Ike is a troll. Over 6k posts and he's a troll. GET OFF THE RX-8 CLUB IKE YOU DAMN NOOBIE TROLL FROOB. KTHXBYE.

The GTO has no traction, weight distribution is like 55/45.
contrary to what BMW says, 50/50 (which is good) is where you start when you want to make a rear drive car.
45/55 is great, 40/60 is traction nirvana (porsche 911), but between that you have the perfect weight distribution, the sprung to unsprung weights between front and rear are the same (the weight of the rear driveshaft is offset by the heavier front brake rotor)

The GTO has a strut suspension front and rear, the rear has semi-trailing arms, toe-control links and the strut for geometry control. the front has trailing link steering, not the best.

The impreza has struts around too, and the lancer evolution has a multilink rear suspension.

Well maybe you're used to dealing with V8s or something. When you're talking about a car thats redlines at 7000rpm but doesn't hit boost until about 5500rpm (at which point it immediately breaks all four loose) then yeah. Not a streetable vehicle.

Its not hard to mod an STI to high levels. Those cars are very mod happy. However, ask her about her suspension/brake/gears/etc mods. If she chokes, its BS. Also, ask her about her roll cage and parachute (if she tracked it, it should have that). All wheel turning??? BS, simple as that. Value of $75k? No, modding lowers the price of cars. Maybe she spent that much (i hope not) but this story sounds really bad.

BTW, 04 GTO or 05, cuz the 04s are slow as hell, and the 05 are VERY fast

From what my friend told me (a WRX nutswinger), birds getting caught in their scoops is a very common problem

It's not common, but when it happens the pic ends up floating around the internet to various forums.

Wow I am suprized this thread is still going. Thanks for all of the input from the STI guys. I was talking to her a little more the other day and I am officially calling it BS. She says it still has the factory turbo but is ready for some bigger turbo. I think she knows enough to ramble on and spit out the right terms but doesn't really know what she is talking about. I doubt a factory turbo can do anything near what she was saying .
