So all Mazda's are getting the same Steering Wheel now? And I think that "paddle" you see Zoom is the lever to adjust the steer wheel.

What kind of key/ignition set up is that or maybe just capped off for prototype testing...

I can't believe I'm saying this but the '09 RX-8 wheel is starting to grow on me... I would need to caress it in person to see if i fully like. It reminds me of when wheels were sleek, trim and airbagless. If only the hub was a little smaller. The button setup still looks jacked up though.

Had a look at the New Mazda 6 Sedan at my local Mazda Dealer..

ALL I can say IS WOW!...

Mazda really has hit on a WINNER here.
Seating is superb, dash ..fantastic...it slops back fast to the lower windscreen, the layout and guages are very functional.

Rear trunk is large with full size spare, to open the trunk lid there is a really tiny black button incorporated into the rear taillight section, one press and it opens.

We have the 2.5 litre 4 MZR, the engine layout is typical Mazda, very neat.

Finish overall is excellent.

ALL in all this model will sell heaps and remain on top of the class here, as reporters are saying, Mazda have set a new bench mark in its class and even ventures into the BMW 5 territory.

Ok, here's a random question for you 09 RX-8 fanbois out there! I really like the steering wheel for the new 09 that's coming out but I notice that there's no cruise control feature on it. What I want to do is swap my 2006 steering wheel for a 2009. I want to know if Mazda keep the same specs for the hub that connects the steering wheel to the steering column? If so, I can swap it, if not I can't. Now, as for the Cruise Control, will the 2009 model come with it? If so, will it be on the steering wheel or is it going to be in the form of a stalk? I really like the 2009 steering wheel because it's so simple yet stylish.

MNAO will soon set the benchmark as to what NOT to do to a perfectly fine car. Just elongate, widen the front if you want to fit the V6, not change the styling completely.

Also says, " Phone, mode, volume and an up/down toggle switch are on the left."

It's either the phone or mode button.

Whatever. Mazda finally has a winner. The original may have been "perfectly fine" but obviously only to a small fraction of people.

It's the same 3 pronged whell that is used on all cars.

Start checking. It's the same wheel only cosmetic chages.

Global wheel! Yuck!

That wheel is better than the global wheel, but its still water-ed down from the JDM/Euro version of the Mazda6.
