Speed TV to become Fox Sports 1
Inside a news article about Speed losing the broadcasting of F1 to NBC, is this:

I am disappointed by this news, to say the least. Bring back Speedvision!
The departure of F1 comes as Speed parent company Fox moves closer to rebranding the motorsports network into a broad-based national sports network. Fox has not commented on the rebranded channel, expected to be called Fox Sports 1, but it is expected to be heavily utilized in the eight-year television contract announced earlier this month with Major League Baseball.

I used to have *** cable and used to watch The Speed Channel, but now I have Direct TV and have Velocity. I think I like the Speed Channel better because it has more shows than the Velocity. The Velocity channel is kinda have more Hot Rod shows rather than newer vehicles, but it's okay, I like classic cars too.

There is talk on DBSTalk.com that much of the motorsports programing will move to FuelTV.
I think some of the NASCAR that was on the local Fox network stations will move to Fox Sports 1.
Formula 1 is moving to NBC Sports starting next year.

While not good for motorsports, Fox Sports 1 will create competition for ESPN. ESPN is about $7/month of your pay-tv bill, the largest charge by over X2.
