Sold the '06 WWP, sold the '04 VR . .. bought this
I loved my RX8.'06 White water pearl. It was great to me while I had it. No problems, tons of fun, and cost very little over the time I owned it.
Then my wife took over her fathers '04 Velocity red. It was in pretty bad condition, but still fun to have around.
After selling both of them (and doing some remodeling on the house) I finally got another fun car to drive.
We have 1 kid, with another on the way, so 4 seats is a must. And since my wife drives manual, I got a 6-speed 6-cylinder car.
Huge difference in the way they drive, but I am sure I will grow to love this one the way I did my RX's

Funny thing is, I bought it for less than I paid for my RX8, which I bought brand new for under $20k. (Of course this is a used car)
Insurance is cheap too.

Thanks everyone
It is an '03. The 996 started as a 3.4l engine(1999-2001), but from '02 onward they had a slight facelift and a 3.6l engine. (320hp)
BTW - I bought this car for well under $20,000. The 996 is the first water cooled 911, so the die hards don't want them. That makes the price very reasonable. And insurance is cheap, cuz old geezers drive these cars, and old geezers don't crash.

I found a ton with decent miles.
If you want a 1999-2001 they can be had for $15,000
The 2002 and up go for more because they have a stronger engine. Keep your eyes open and when you see one reasonably priced put in an offer. I put in a bunch of offers, and someone finally said yes.
You are right though, most people ask around $22,000-25,000. But that is asking price, what they will sell it for is often much less.
