I have posted this a few times already and decided to post one more time. "63 vw rag top (originally a hard top) on '69 irs pan. 13b mazda rotary with holly intake. New carb needed. The car ran great with no issues but My wife and I had a son and have not drivin it in several months. 3 rib bus trans, modified datsun z axles, front and rear sway bars, 4'' narrowed beam. all new bushings in front and rear, new carpet kit, rx-7 seats, aftermarket gagues, so many other great things in vehicle. Pretty cool, but Subaru engines are a better fit in vintage VWs - literally and figuratively.

Porsche work the best. Very few mods are necessary and some bolt right in.
