Whoa, where'd you get those pdfs? Those are cool. Are spec sheets like that available for other cars that I could get?

13.7??

IKE, there has not been one mag out there that has even come close to showing 13.7 for Z's......but I guesss I'll just take your word for it??...geessss

the lowest time I have seen was 14.4......even the ann. addition they tested in the mid14's...........yah the Z is faster, but I would not say there it is a blow out to 60, or the 1/4 mile........5.9-6 for the 8, 14.5.-15 in the 1/4

5.5-5.6 for the Z to 60, mid 14's for the 1/4......come on man

You always seem to post here with a sense that you are the "all knowing"...lol....I like your posts at times, but for a guy that doesn't own the car, and probably spent little real time in the 8, you sure seem to spend a lot of time here.

I personally know a few friends that own the G35C, and another owns the 350Z RoadS. The G35 has run with me a few times from 2nd till 3rd and it was pretty much neck and neck...( I was shifting over 9K and breaking the tires loose easily) but kept up......the Z did pull when he wanted to run against me, but it was not like he was screaming away....closer than you think !

I really doubt that the Z normally only ran a mid-14 stock.

I've personally raced and watched many bone-stock Altima and Maxima SE MTXs run low-14s in the 1/4 mile. And they have slightly less power, a whole lot more weight, and are FWD.

I've actually never seen a Z at the track, but I can only assume, being a lighter RWD version of those same cars with roughly the same engine that it would be at least 0.25s faster in the 1/4, putting it into the high-13s rather consistently.

Hell, my 3250lb FWD 220/192 Mazda6s will pull 14.8s all day long. A Z better beat that by a full second, not just 0.3s -- about 1.5 car lengths.

It doesn't even make sense that you claim the Z can run a 5.5 0-60 but only a mid-14 1/4. A car running a 5.5 0-60 time better run a mid to high 13 unless it's gearing is really screwed up. Altimas will run a 6.2-6.4 0-60 and run low-14s. My Mazda6 will run a 6.9 0-60 and run a 14.8.

Broker, there are more owners of 350Zs that have run 13.7s than RX-8 owners that have run 14.8 or below on this forum... One of your links is a freaking roadster and another is the second heaviest model after the roadster that ran slower than the previous time they tested it. I'm not just making this stuff up, why would I? You always call me on this crap and you have yet to not get proven wrong. Would you like me to link you to the articles where the RX-8 runs 15s, does that mean that's all it's capable of?

more owners that have run 13.7 than 14.8's for the 8...ok, I guess you know everyone on here that has done those numbers?...don't you think that is a little
Presumptuous??.....come on man. I never disputed some of the facts regarding the differences between the cars, but you speak like you are the "all knowing".....

So I guess you have taken a poll with all the 350Z owners, and all the 8 owners who have bothered to take their car to the track and did your own comparison to come up with that accurate comment right. I don't mind chatting about differences of opinion, or being able to admit I was incorrect with a fact, but my god, you do say some off handed remarks that are based on what??....your own statistical data??.......and yes, other than the link I just saw, every other mag I read.....R&T, Car and Driver, a Euro mag etc had the Z in the low 14's for the 1/4.........am I saying it is not possible to run 13.7's?....no....but I am also not saying I know what each car will do based on a few forums?...

Only person that did anything was the troll who is now banned for good, thanks to Omicron. I was just trying to clean up the thread a little and get it back on track

and if you are going to put comparisons between the z and rx8 you need a head check...there is no comparison...the z is the TOTAL package...
real sports cars only have 2 seats....yea the 8 goes around a track well.....thats because it doesnt have enough power to push it to its limits......but the z does around the track just as well and then pulls even harder on the straights.....

you shouldnt even be comparing the 2 cars....

its like comparing a SL500 to a SLK

the 8 is a beginers car and once you learn to drive you step it up to a z

The whole 2 seater doesn't fly... I can name many cars off top of my head that are 4 seater and are SPORTS CARS.. Trans Am, Mustang , STI, Evo... ect... should I keep going?

Being that the new mustang GT has been rated the best car for under 30k I think your statement is a little inaccurate

The first step is to admit you made a mistake. We understand that you regret your purchase of a Z so there is no need for you to come here and try and justify to yourself that you made the right chose.. Now plz leave we would like to have a logical talk.
