Someone please tell me it isn't going to look remotely close to a G35?

They had one in either Car and Driver, R & T, Motortrend or Automobile (or it might have been Sport Compact) about 3 or 4 months ago. I see if I can find it.

A spy shot of a g35 bodied GT-R test mule (same color) in a front 3/4 side view.

So does this end any doubt that the GT-R will be an Infinity?

i guess we will see. I don't really like that look of the widebody G35. If they made it like the concept, that would be kool.

Yeah, not digging the widebody G35 look.

On a similar note: What the heck is with all the G35 drivers in SoCal putting "Skyline" badges on their car? Anyone else notice this trend??

From what I've read the production model is not far off of this concept. The G35 body is just being used for testing of the underpinnings of the real GT-R (a test mule and common practice for designers).

In Japan, the G35 as we know here in north america is called the Skyline. It's like Acura RSX owners rebadging their cars to Honda Integra.

g35 = skyline 350GT
skyline GT-R is the top performance trim of the skyline model.

YEAH, that's what I keep seeing...all these G35's with 350GT and Skyline badges.

so basically they're pretending to have something they don't have, which is only available in Japan?

yep , its kinda dumb IMO.
but they arnt really pretending, since g35 and skyline 350gt is the same car. they just brought it over to the US under infiniti instead of nissan and changed the name, the car is the same. more power to them i guess if they want to change to JDM badging. I

I used to think its pretty lame, until they had the miss G35driver poll lol, and one of the girls had the JDM badgings, and well she made me change my mind i guess

Hondaboys rebadge their Honda emblems to the Type R version (red). Mazdaboys put Mazdaspeed whatever on their car.

It would be sad to rebadge a Skyline GTS as a GTR though.
