About a year after these commercials started running my folks had bought a set of World Book Encyclopedia's. One of the first things I looked up was the wankel rotary - then I went around telling everyone how they worked

I have that downloaded/saved on my hard drives.
I was in high school when that commercial came out. The school library had Car & Driver on the rack available to read. One of the columists suggested a good vanity plate, for a rotary, would be HUMMJOB. I don't think it would pass the state censors.
