isn't that the custom made one? You can't go by what that guy paid to have it made, since it's not going to sell it for that price.

dang that's a great story, I would die if I was lucky enough to have someone who even has a remote interest in cars much less someone who buys me a Ferrari. that's one lucky dude, hope he knows it and appreciates it.

Great story and sorry for your loss. It's great to know dreams comes true. I will own my Ferrari someday.

I'm going to tell my wife tonight that it's been my life long dream to be married to four hot women who each earn incredible salaries in their high paid jobs. I guess I might have to move out of the country to achive this goal, but I'm willing to accept compromises.

No stripe, so must not be. It's an F1 coupe with paddle-shifts.

("At present there are four models in the Ferrari 360 Modena range, Berlinetta and F1 coupes, plus Berlinetta and F1 Spiders. The Berlinetta is basically the six-speed manual variant, the F1 getting the paddle-shifts.")

I'll try and get pics. He's interested in going on one of our NW 8 meets, or at least taking our 2 cars out for a run on the twisties

That'll be kind of interesting to see... a Ferrari amidst a flock of 8s. I really hope he goes with a bunch of us maniacs cuz he's still somewhat nervous about driving it. One trip with us will cure him!

Edit: typo

Beautiful car - but I wonder, if it were mass produced, available for say 13K, and made by Hundai, would it have the same appeal?

Still - that man had better be true to his wife!

Probably not, but you'd never get the same car for $13K. The pic I used doesn't do this car justice - the exterior is gorgeous and the interior - well, I couldn't come up with a good enough word for it .

I'd be amazed if anything happened to these two. I've known them for 6 years and they restored my belief in marriage.

Darren and his Ferrari made it to our meet today!

In case you didn't believe my story, I now have pics to prove it...

Darren and his 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena F1 made it to our meet today!

Here are a couple of pics, but you can see the others here:
https://www.rx8club.com/nw-rx-8-forum-33/june-twr-drive-string-pearls-24-june-117396/page3/

Darren pulls up at the meeting place this morning:

The center of attention:

He spent most of the drive following me today, but on the way home I followed him.... or at least I should say I TRIED to follow him! Holy cow! Freakin awesome!

360 is still the best looking modern Ferrari. Do you have any pics of him picking it up at the dealer? I am sure the look on his face is priceless

This was an update to my original post last year in September '06. The pics you see are the only pics I have with Darren and the actual car in them...
