selling my 8 and get a new car

Hi people, I am selling my 04 black rx8 with full mazdaspeed bodykit, i like the car but just not enough power for me and it's kind small. I am not sure which car i should get next, an 04 bmw m3, an evo 8, the new corvette, or the wrx sti. which car u guys think is the best car over all.

Here is few picture of my car without the sideskirt and rearbumper

What are you lokking for? Power, Looks, Handling. I would say the new sti because you will still be one of many and have a bad *** mobile for a good price. Me im gonna hold on to my beloved 8 for a little longer to see whats next. If a little more performance does not come quick sti is my next car. I hate to do it im a third generation roto head but mazda has to ante up

well for all the money you'd spend trading you'd be a fool not to get a turbo and the new interceptor ems unit from Mazsport

then you'll be pushing 300rwhp (g-d knows how high at the crank) and you'll still have a far better looking and handling car

If that is practical and easy to reach while maintaining daily-driver status then for sure. However, how hard is it to do this?

If it was me and I had the money, the M3 would be my choice. It has the best overall car experience and quality. Not to mention 333hp stock.....not bad.

I don't know going from the RX8 to an STI is going to be quite a step down in the looks department (beautiful to hideous).

And your list of cars shows that you don't know what you really want. If you can afford a new vette then why a used m3? Not getting that? If you can go with a two seater then what about a 350Z or S2000?

wait the rx8 is to small, so your looking at the new corvette? and even the M3 will be harder to use the back seats.

The evo/sti I can understand, those are 4 door.

I do understand the power thing.

Well--your reasoning and price choices don't make sense to me--but I'd say M3. They are expensive to get power out of though--if you are looking for ease to mod go with one of those ugly STis or Evos. Vette--but the RX8 is too small? You can't go wrong with the Vette--if you don't need the space.

I go for the M3. To me the STi and the EVO 8 are not worth the $30K+. They feel empty to me. Corvette is fun but small. M3 has everything, power and luxury. Have you consider a VW R32?

He's complaining about not enough power--the R32 is about as fast as an RX8. Its easier to get power out of though.

Your RX8 is so sexy. I wouldn't trade it for any of those cars.... except maybe the new C6 (and that's even smaller inside for your requirements).

I test drove a evo last night just for the fun of it. And damn did it have power but that was it, didnt feel like it handled as well, ugly, and cheaper feeling on the inside. I just wasnt all impressed i was worried that i wouldnt enjoy returning to my 8 after that and that was defently not the case.

out of those, the only one i'd go for from an rx-8 is an M3. The looks (outside and inside) of the evo/STi don't do it for me, and the ride is very harsh. I wouldn't get a vette because of the 2-seaterishness of it (and insurance). Supposedly they're debuting a new supra in the tokyo auto show in Oct. Maybe you wanna wait and see what the news is there

You'll take a hit if you trade/sell your car now. For the same money just get a turbo kit with the interceptor-x. You will be at the least 250whp which should translate to about 300hp at the crank, and this should be just on a low boost, imagine what you can achieve with some serious tuning and higher boost...

BTW, people keep forgetting that this car is so light, you can give 50hp to the competition and it will still beat them. Pure number is not everything...

You went and put all that money into the looks and now you're mad when the neon dusts you on the freeway. I understand. I'd put some money into the engine then go from all show, no go to show and go.

i'd get the STi or m3. M3 if you want more of the civilized look, and the STi if you want to mod your car and feel young.

p.s. what kind of brakes are those?

Well, big range of vehicles there - but for overall power, looks, and handling go with the new Corvette.

Just so you know...a new '05 Corvette, with a good range of options, 100% financed would be about $950/mo - with a 6 year loan.

Well i own a 05 evo 8 gsr and i love this car.I test drove the 350z,s2000,rx8 and the sti before i made my decision.

Out of all those cars i drove two stood out for me,the evo and the rx8,two completely different cars.In the handling dept i cant tell you which one was better they both drive like a dream the rx8 i have to admit was a lot comfortable and you cant beat that interior.
The reason i chose the evo was.....pure exhilaration, take it for a test drive keep it over 3000rpm take a bunch of sharp corners and tell me you dont feel one with the car,it will make you feel like a professional driver.

What im trying to say is test drive all the cars you are considering and you will know which one belongs in your driveway.

BTW guys if i had the means to own a second car i would love to see a velocity red rx8 (gt package) parked right next to my evo.

05 GSR turbo back exhaust/mbc/turbo timer....coming soon cams/fuel pump/intake/ic piping/bov/flash.

you said that the 8 was too small for you, but two of the cars mentioned above are smaller than the 8. If you want one of the cars mentioned above then id choose the M3 but I hope you dont mind me bringing up the Audi S4, it has a 4.2 liter V8 with 340 hp, it goes from 0 to 60 in 5.3 seconds and comfortably sits 5. It has Audis famous Quattro so its great in turns and rain/snow. But if you have even more money get the Audi RS4 (420 hp, bi-turbo v8, 317lbs torque) :D

check out this review M3 vs S4 done by Top Gear

Uhhh, kind of a wide range of cars with varying prices and styles wouldn't cha say? And which of the cars you picked isn't small? Sumpin don't add up here.

Anyway, for schitz and giggles I'll say a C6 would be my choice.
