Seafoamed The GF's Impreza 2 Weekends Ago

Wow... honestly it was my first time and far from my last time using seafoam....what an experience.

My gf drives a 2007 Impreza, and it gets a LOT of use. She just clocked in 60k miles on it, and her drives really vary from long to short trips, and every few weekends we find ourselves taking her car from CT to Manhattan or to the Catskills. For anyone that has been to the catskills, I am sure you know what kind of a beating a car can take, either in the summer where it can be a bit dusty, muggy, and the higher altitude can take a toll on the cooling, or in the winter, where the snow is insane, cold, and roads can be slushy.

I have been doing her oil changes since we moved in (1 yr and 3 months and counting ), but I have really noticed the car deteriorate over time. Anything from terrible cold start noises (crazy clicking), to shift lagging, or loss of power. I have driven the car quite a bit since she bought it, and the time between me driving really made it more noticable.

She was coming up to her 60K super duper service so I figured I would give seafoaming a shot since her plugs were going to get changed. I followed a few threads here (thanks guys, VERY helpful) and the task was very simple as I was able to use the vac line on the TB (since her brake booster only goes to one cyl).

Let me say, WOW. I drove it after and immediately noticed a difference ... but then I thought that it could be placebo affect.... so i gave it a week. This past weekend I got to use her car quite a bit and it is remarkable the change in the overall behavior of the car. The startups are so much cleaner, the performance is back big time, and overall the car feels great.

Sorry for the lengthy story, but hopefully this can help sway those of you who are either on the fence or unsure about using seafoam. I am only on 8300mi on my 8, but plan on seafoaming at the forum suggested intervals after the experience i had with her car.

Cheers
