Saw an old MGB

No pics, but I smiled when I walked past a nice looking MGB in a parking lot the other day. Not far away was a Miata, and the MGB made the Miata look like an SUV. I had forgotten how small those old British sportscars were.

One of my buddies had one when we were in high school. Fun, but troublesome.

One of these suckers? Pretty fun cars I would think to abuse through turns.

Still have mine, it was my first car, they just need a little more attention that regular cars to be reliable. They are a blast to drive.

I used to have an old Midget. Was fun as hell to drive cept that only amounted to every other week since that seemed to be it's breakdown frequency. Worse electrical system in the world.

No hard top on the one I saw. It was more like what Coop '04 posted, and yeah, they look like a lot of fun -- especially because I hadn't realized how much smaller than a Miata they were. I remember a time when just about every college campus had a bondo-ed up MG or two in the parking lot.

Me, I like the looks of this, though: Too bad British sportscars had such a bad rep for reliability.

I thought it would be fun riding with a friend on a 250 mile round trip run during my college days. That little midget was great on the 10 corners we encountered (this is Nebraska after all) but the rest of the trip was pretty close to Hell.

This is my friend from college racing his TR4. His dad bought it new. It runs great and has had no major work done to it.
