Rx8 title Issues

I purchased a used Rx-8 in november from a dealer a hour away. The dealer still hasn't had me sign the title yet(becuase they haven't had it). The car is turning into a lemon, but that is a whole other story.

What can I do about the dealer that sold me a car without having the title? Who should I complain to, what can I have done. I understand some time difference, but it has been 2 months since I signed the sales contract. It has affected the cars registration and plates. I have been driving around with an in transitent paper for 2 months now.

Is the car paid for and are you sure you're supposed to get a title? In some states you don't get a title until the car is paid in full.

I dont get the title, it goes to the Lien Holder(in Illinois). The title hasn't been transfered yet, hence I cant' get my car registered.

Talk to your insurance company and possibly a lawyer. Whats wrong with the car without going into ultra details. I'd imagine that your insurance company can't insure the car without seeing a copy of the title. I drove my car for a week without it being insured because the dealer "couldnt find" my car's title. Aparently my insurance company got on their *** about it.

Insurance Company really hasn't cared yet, I just gave them the VIN. The Loan Company does. I talked to them today. They said it was alright as long as I was doing something about it they are ok about it. The main issue is not having plates (which hasn't been an issue yet).

The tramission has some light grinding/clicking/rattling noise that comes and goes. Sometimes it is hard to get into gear unless you double clutch. Right now I am thinking it is something in the transmission that is bad. I might make a special thread about it, I'm for sure some people would like to hear about it. The tranmission isn't bad, but a car wth 30k of miles on it shouldn't do that. I'm just sick of dealing with car stuff right now.
