Question RX-8 Gas Mileage

Hello everyone,
I have a 2004 Mazda RX-8 GT.......... I have tried 94,91, and 89 octanes and can just make 450-500 km a tank at the yellow gas light coming on....... when I just got the car i was getting 600km per tank...... Is there something I ca do to increase the gas mileage????? I have had the car for only a month and the first tank of gas was 600+ km.......

Also I live in Canada near Toronto and winters get pretty cold here sometimes around -20 ........ I have heard that some of the old RX-7 have trouble starting or don't start at all in the cold.... Do the RX-8's have trouble starting in the cold?????

Thanx for all your responses!!!!!!!!!

RX-8 are not known to have starting issues in the cold.
They are also known for bad gas mileage. The only thing you can do to improve MPG is increase the amount of time your in 6th gear.
