The MB SL65 is proof of that. It has a Twin Turbo V-12 spitting out 604 HP and 738 lb.-ft.

And yes it is a convertible.

The fact that this is a drop top probably has nothing to do with the components they are testing. In 1995 i think it was, chevy made a "Cormaro". It was a beta C5 test vehicle with a Camaro shell on top of it.
