Hi everyone! I wanted to post here and see if I could be added to the list. My name is Taylor, and I have been racing and building rotary engines for over 10 years. My first car was an '04 RX8 and I raced SCCA autocross with my bridge ported '85 RX7 after that. Currently working on an '05 RX8 as a new track car. I have built motors for myself and friends over the years and decided to start doing customer builds a few years ago. I have done everything from stock port 12a's to half bridge studded big turbo FD motors. I take my time with customer motors, building each like it was my own. I try to be fair on prices, and finish in a reasonable timeframe. I know builders are hard to find these days, especially honest ones. Not looking to make a bunch of money doing it, I just love building engines and trying to keep these engines on the streets. You can get more info at my website below:
I hear you on the warranty. I would love to get big enough to be able to offer one, but I have to protect myself as well being a one man show. Wouldn't take much for someone to destroy a motor and try to come back on me. Especially those that are premix only or turbocharged/tuned. I am always willing to work with a customer if they should encounter an issue with a motor, to this date a problem has never come up though. Every customer gets a full binder with all the specs and clearances. First start/break in procedures and a flash drive of all the photos taken during the build process.

ive talked to some friends here about the warranty stuff and some are turned off by it. im thinking of having a basic rebuild renny done thats been in storage for a while. when i pulled it one rotor face had 2psi below thee passing threshold but ran great, made good power and never had any issues with hot starts etc. think it has ~50k on the mazda reman keg. assuming the irons, rotors and housings are within spec can you give a ballpark on cost?
For Renesis engines I charge $3200. That is with all OEM Mazda seals, replacing bearings if needed, fully painted, rebuilt OMP lines, and resurfacing the housings if needed.
